One thing that is very apparent e.g. by watching the rotation of Hall and Drummond at the Crusaders - is how much easier it is (and how much better they look) for halfbacks to come off the bench.

Finlay is the glaring exception to this rule

Actually, Finlay played a central role in me realising this. 🙂

The first year the Mako won the title (2019) we had Finlay labouring away at halfback and a Japanese guy called Uchida who looked like an absolute gun on the bench.

We couldn't understand why he wasn't starting.

When Uchida finally got a start he was poor and struggled - and after that we were happier with Finlay.

Cool, so Razor just needs to bring a halfback up from the Heartland Cup, play him for a test, and then we'll all be wishing for the Ginga ...

    @Nepia No need.

You've already got two Mako halfbacks in the squad. 🙂

Don't give Finlay the boot until you've given Noah a few test starts and he's proven he's really up to it.

I'm not a huge fan of Noah but happy to give the Ginga the boot for him. I wouldn't want to deprive Ta$man of his services for the NPC.

I didn't know you'd bought the Waikato halfback down on behalf of the Crusaders.

Shows how observant I am. I thought he was only two years out of school. 🙂

It's ViaGOGO. They are toxic, ticket inflating resellers of vapourware as I understand it.

SO don't read anything into it. The link below has tickets from 350-400GBP

    Booooo!!!!!

Can't beat live sport. Have to follow up with a rewatch naturally - but the experience of being there with 40-100k people is awesome.

Maybe but not for £350. And the cheaper seats (still often not that cheap) are so far away from the action ...

Arsenal's stadium was brilliant though (maybe a better seat location) but not Twickenham (or Wembley - I preferred the old one). It was a good day out but would sooner watch rugby on TV now.

It's a money grab and a pretty unique event, hard to have a go at them for milking it.

Scott Barrett apparently out of the early RC rounds.

I hope he's back for SA - or it might be quite ugly.

Lets hope Josh Lord got safely through Taranaki's win over Wellington yesterday.

@Chris-B Might be why he's being rested?

Say if it were SA first up, he might have played?
