This season is interesting as a lot hangs on each game. We win Wallabies 2 it's a pass. The wolves are certainly at the door though.
I think the team would be stronger if we had given guys like Love, Plummer, Paps, Darry, Proctor, Aumua more game time off the bench.
Some of the golden oldies need a reset off the pine.
Huge finds this past year in the developing Williams, Vaai, Sititi, Roigard and Ratima
We seriously need a quick 7

Razor's first season couldn't have been tougher. He has at least protected the Eden Park record and the Bledisloe. He is however facing the prospect of 6 or 7 losses this season. Remember also that our record at Wellington hasn't been that flash.

Six would equal our worst year ever (from the 40s)

Seven losses would be a new record.

So far, the one that really pisses me off is Argentina at home. All the others are reasonable losses - and you may burgle one or two away.

This week I predict the stupid passes will stick and the handling errors will be gone.

This follows the pattern of ABs looking dogshit in game 1 then putting on a clinic in game 2.

,A frustrating year. Really think Razor should have been an assistant with Foz, Ryan and Schmidt and co at the Rugby World Cup. I kind of think we may have thrown out the baby with the bathwater so to speak, with a complete couching overhaul. Still time will tell.

The experienced players and so called leaders have sucked in Wellington the last 5 tests or so there

Let the youngsters have a crack. They can hardly do worse

That's a good point, they don't carry the mental baggage from all the previous losses there.

It's also the most established guys like Ardie, TJ, Dmac, ALB, Taylor, etc. who're not executing during key moments.

Well if words are omens you'd think they'd want to retain Jordan at 15.

'“We were pleased because we know what he can do - how he can control a game and inject his speed,” Robertson said of Jordan. “He took that opportunity.”'

And there was a moment Jordan faced the Wallabies and they all stiffened-they definitely fear his ability. But did he show an ability to control a game? I didn't really see that.

He's a fullback. Not sure I want him controlling a game, just making smart decisions.

No doubt he can play, but the Wallabies don't have the cattle or the execution to expose any of his flaws.

DMac was more Helter skelter yesterday than ever, certainly more than he showed for the Chiefs. There are others, such as Aumua who are shadows of their SR selves. Is the coaching team responsible for this?

@canefan DMac has always been like that. The reason he didn’t seem as bad this was because he didn’t have the crusaders brain trust to expose how awful he is come crunch time. He was atrocious against the blues in the final

                            Players that should be rested:

                            Taylor, Lomax, A. Savea, D Mac, J.Barrett, R. Ioane

So the team I'd pick is:

De Groot, Bell, Tosi, S.Barrett, Vaii, Finau, Blackadder, Sititi, Ratima, Plummer, Clarke, ALB, Proctor, Jordan, Love

Aumua, Williams, Ofa T, Darry, Cane, Hotham, B. Barrett, Telea,

                            Why?

I'd be terrified of a front row selection that didn't have Taylor in the 23.

Savea needs to be dropped. At least to the bench. Sititi deserves a start at his preferred position and not against Italy.

Cane was poor against the Wallabies. Not poor by his standards, but genuinely poor. Start Dalton if he's fit.

Blindside can be either Finau or Ethan (if he isn't injured).

If we rest Jordie (who I thought had his best game in Black this year) then surely we can't give ALB a start after that?

Rieko was very good on the weekend but Proctor could come off the bench.

I want Plummer to get some actual time with the ball.

I am seeing a fault with the coach(es) of not being ruthless enough with the underperforming incumbents.
Obviously it cant be easy not selecting an experienced AB in the run on match day 15.
But this is much easier than in the past where now you don't have to completely drop someone from the 23.
A ride on the pine could get back the shine.
The young fullas have saved us this year from a complete disaster.

So we're left with ALB after his last effort or Havili..?

Razor's first season couldn't have been tougher. He has at least protected the Eden Park record and the Bledisloe. He is however facing the prospect of 6 or 7 losses this season. Remember also that our record at Wellington hasn't been that flash.

Six would equal our worst year ever (from the 40s)

Seven losses would be a new record.

So far, the one that really pisses me off is Argentina at home. All the others are reasonable losses - and you may burgle one or two away.

"All the others" are two away v Seffrica
