Fantastic racing today. Americans still in it. The cool thing is if a boat is way behind with this design they can still win., in previous displacement designs the result would often be a foregone conclusion,

What was cool about displacement boats was that there isn't a risk of falling off the foils and we saw a lot more +10-15kt days on the water and the boats could handle a greater variance in conditions. Also, if they got so far behind they could, as a hail Mary, head out to the opposite side of the world in search of wind and cum back. Boats could also get closer to each other.

Great racing today. On the edge for these boats. Ineos looks more cohesive as a team than the Italians… I wonder about the two skippers on the Italian boat, Spithill seems quiet

And that’s it for the LV cup. Loved this series, and the racing far surpassed my expectations

There has been almost zero media interest in the Louis Vuitton Cup in the UK until today.

It's going to be interesting to see how much excitement a British boat being in the America's Cup generates.

Wouldn't it be great for them to finally win the cup. For the sport too - NZ winning it all the time is getting boring

@W32 The Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron has won the Cup four times so there's a long way to go to catch up with the New York Yacht Squadron's 25 wins.

Once we overhaul the Yanks, then I wouldn't begrudge the British a historic win.
