How good was Roigard on his first game back? Notised DP being taken off, hopefully nothing serious.Generational talent.

Haha why canāt we get carried away? Roigard is showing early career form as good as some of our top ABs. International footy is different obviously but the signs are great.

In August, World Rugby announced a change to Regulation 8 for national team eligibility that stated: āFrom August 1, 2024, any player with a genuine, close, credible and established link to a union is no longer required to complete 60 months [five years] of unbroken residency in the relevant country right up to the first time that player represents the union.
āUnder the revised approach ārugby registrationā over a 60-month period will need to be demonstrated via registration with a rugby body, including a national union or club.ā
The Sunday Star-Times asked New Zealand Rugby if Holland would be covered by the change, and the national body confirmed that he would be given the green light.
Can understand if he was in the AB XV to slowly bring him along but heās just that good that he should be on the EOYT in the full squad. Find a spot for him.

Roigard, Savea, Sititi and DMac are good running options.

Considering our locks have actually been quite good this year, not necessarily a need to chuck Holland in straight away, but I can see him debuting v Japan, then joining the NZ XV, then potentially linking back up with the ABs after to get him in the environment...

Got tagged above earlier too for any other squad chat but havenāt heard a lot so far. Things seem tight lipped this far which leads me to believe there wonāt be a lot/if any changes other than Roigard added.
Only thing I have been told is not to expect all 3 of Plummer, Perofeta and Love. Its expected only 2 of them will be named in the AB squad with the 1 missing out to be in the AB XV.
