South Africa have a team of forwards who dominate collisions as a priority.

Malcom Marx is their best disrupter.

I think he came on the fern and read all of the things that @NTA told him he needed to work on and came back and dominated.

Guys who are bits and pieces at test level can absolutely dominate in this form of the game.

A fairly even game from my view at the stadium. Waikato's poor starts continue. Happy to make the QFs but I don't expect us to advance any further. When I saw all of the missing Waikato players exit their room as I was leaving, there are a lot of players missing before I even count the ABs.

Just watched the game after getting back from work. Wow are the past 3-4 years paying off. Execution of the basics and the game plan was top notch and the team looked v composed and level headed. Can’t remember the last time Otago completely blew a team out like that.

Hastie may have overplayed his hand a tad at times but he’s an excellent back up for the play offs and his kicking game is v good.

Everyone seems to be hitting form at the right time.

Just remembered to sort my team....

So after discussions around a PW3 it turns out to be a 2 after all.

Anyway the thing is finally fucking installed - 4 months after the original breakdown, and it's quite good, 8 hours in.

The installer slipped me full home backup while he was at it, which usually comes in at around $1k so happy with that. Tested it a couple of times and it works very well

Crazy to think Fletcher Stirling Cooper is playing Under 18s and he still has two more years left of school.

Harbour really dug in for that last 10 minutes and played some solid footy. They got a bit of luck on that sequence with 90 seconds remaining and Southland knocked on. Good win.

You can't win a game with 39 missed tackles, no matter how crap the ref is.
Wonder what the most missed tackles when a team still wins us, in an international.

South Africa comfortably won against NZ a couple of weeks ago with 33 missed tackles and a 72% completion rate.

When we missed 46 tackles @ 71% and there wasn’t a big difference in overall possession, that certainly contributes to a big win.

Also from a couple of sites, they have revised the missed tackles of Oz to 40!

Yeah - I started tracking out the potential best/worst cases (based on Pool-results matching existing rankings)
As already said - you could win your pool, then play Australia in Round-of-16 - never make a QF.
Or - win pool, then play Samoa, Argentina, and into Semis... hoping there's been an upset elsewhere.
