@kiwiinmelb well if he has said that surely Tyson will be begging to walk JP out!

This is so much bigger than I thought it would be. The drama is slowly unfolding but Im not sure Parker is part of the main cast. Tyson is fully using Parker. I hope he knows that.

From day one Fury has positioned himself next to Parker, even after Parker UD'd his cousin Hughie. I feel like Fury saw Parker as a potential ally but also as a naive potential threat he could cozy up to. When I saw Tyson offered his services as sparring partner for this fight I wondered how the fuck would that be of any use to anyone but Fury. I never really rated Fury but he's smart as shit and add that to outstanding ring awareness, fight IQ, the longest reach in boxing and an ungainly style that is difficult to train for you can't really discount him.

@raznomore Yes 100% agree although to be fair they did turn down his sparring (thankfully). The only reason why Fury is all nice to Parker is because he sees him as no threat.

@african-monkey Yip. Tyson will think all his xmases have come at once if Parker end up with all the belts. It take 1 more rematch fight if Parker gets this W this weekend but Tyson will like a pig in shit knowing he won't have to fight Joshua. In saying that Fury vs Joshua is the UKs wet dream. That's £50m each for those guys.

I never used to take fury seriously

But ive watched that klitchko fight a few times now , he is smarter in the ring than i initially thought ,

I actually think ( im hoping for Joe dont get me wrong ) IF he can get back to full fitness , he might be the guy who can take AJ into deep water , tiring him out while accumulating the points ,

he is so hard to hit , 6 foot 9 , with those long arms , and his feet never stop moving , a constant moving target

@kiwiinmelb I'd back Fury against anyone if he were at full fitness. His movement, reach, ability to fight orthadox and southpaw effectively and control of distance would give every current heavyweight nightmares. His chin is a tad dodgy but he has the ability to make opponents miss all night.

Is he ever gonna get to that stage again though as opposed to being a 150kg pisshead?

He only needs to put in one effort burst and promoters will be queuing up especially if AJ ends up with all the belts. One massive fight to prove his claim then retire.

Fury is in near fight shape again. I saw video of him today and he's slimmed down amazingly. has muscle tone in his arms an everything. I'll try and find it.

Do you think it's as covert as that? Fury could be doing this to get under Joshua's skin, and it appears to be working. Remember that Haye is also helping Parker so it seems to be Team Hearn vs the rest in the UK.

AJ looks like he was expecting some trash talk he could use to appear the bigger man and local hero. He looks a bit bewildered and agitated that he is being made to look the typical dumb boxer and JP is looking like the calm, humble and determined one. Basically JP has pulled the rug from under AJ in the lead up.
Whether that fits into a cunning boxing plan we will see. Maybe JPs camp think an agitated AJ will use more energy both mentally and physically.
The biggest doubt they have sowed is that AJ has been dining out on getting back into the fight against Klitscho. He must know deep down that he was let off the hook with Vlad not going for the kill. JP is telling him that the same mistake won't happen again.

I don't think it's a simple case of setting up Parker but it's part of it. Could be 2 British boxers building up the Kiwi upstart so their Champion mate can take his belt after the young fullas false bravado has led him astray. Haye wants one last title run too.

Fury is only 29 , and only had 25 fights , there isnt as many miles on the clock as people think , just got an old looking head

                                  Joshua 28 , 20 fights

                                  Parker 26 , 24 fights

                                  Wilder 32 , 40 fights

Fury is only 29 , and only had 25 fights , there isnt as many miles on the clock as people think , just got an old looking head

                                        Joshua 28 , 20 fights

                                        Parker 26 , 24 fights

                                        Wilder 32 , 40 fights

@kiwiinmelb it's the complete lack of discipline that I see. letting himself go so badly and already lacking the athletic physique. His voice has gone and he looked like a 50yo man for about 2 years.

Yeah Ricky Hatton used to do the same , let himself go completely in between fights ,

seems so unprofessional , and just bloody hard work to shed the weight again , makes no sense ,

But he isnt looking too bad now , will be interesting to see how he goes .
