    @Tim Been to Eyam many times. My brother lives about 6km away. It’s certainly an odd place. I’m not a believer in the supernatural or anything but it does seem a little bit off to be doing the touristy sightseeing things in a place with such a sad history.

    Isn't the reason that they don't need drivers including the ones that cross the country is that the drivers horizon is less than the margin required to stop the train? So even if the driver did see something way in the distance, they would be powerless to do anything?

    Iron ore from 16 mines is delivered to ports in Dampier and Cape Lambert, with the trains already having travelled over 4.5 kilometres autonomously since they were first deployed last year.
