Rick Beato named his drum fill on in the air tonight as the number 1 of all time. It’s pretty iconic. From the Gorilla to Tyson.
Read somewhere that that drum fill was inspired by Ringo's fills in "A Day in a Life" (he seriously rates Ringo's drumming) . What makes it sensational is the gated way it's recorded, insanely-good production and became a benchmark.
Some of his early Genesis playing is pretty outstanding too.
