Next time more time for Mo'unga, hopefully. This was just good for getting rid of debut nerves. Played well during the little time he got on the field.
I’m no fan of DMac, but Mounga is now firmly in third place on the back of that performance.

@machpants NMS has shown nothing this year. Much like every year since 2015.
@tim has to be Ioane, JB and BFA.

@victor-meldrew DMac is a very mixed bag. Two intercepts, some mixed kicking options, poor kick off, plus some great running. Still doesn’t look to setup players outside him but very good at beating defenders.

Cruden was our last 10 who actively looked at setting up players outside him - BB and DMac look to make the break first and then feed (and kick pass for BB) and in general it works!

@taniwharugby Is Ben Smith still going to be in the team next year?

@kirwan Yep, because Dmac is Hansen's pet project.
And Damian delivered tonight. Not mistake free, but a big improvement. Fantastic goal kicking, and the length of his field kicking was impressive.

@tim doesnt really matter right now, cos we know it aint Naholo.
BFA still looks pretty slippery in broken play.

@kev I think he needs a brick shithouse playing alongside him -SBW (or SWB) is a perfect foil for him - like James Lowe used to be in the Chiefs
-
@kirwan still too many errors for me. I wouldn't want him in the wet or a tight game, against a forward dominant team. Like last week.

I still prefer him at fullback, in the old B.B. supersub role

@shadowtrooper agree it’s about balance in a team.

That will be his role , tonight was about getting experience to cover an emergency I reckon

Not based on this series.

Same thing can be said for BB TBH. But a better kicking option. Considering it's his 1st start at 10, be was pretty good.

I would be happy to see Cane and Todd with Akira at 8

@shadowtrooper I'd like to see Cane and Todd with Taufua at 8.

Not bad at all. I'd written off SB before the AB season but he was my MoM today. Hope he can back that up and it's not just one week on one week off.
Have never been much of a Todd fan, but he's good, really good.
I think DMac is potentially a very good 10. He just needs a couple of years playing there every week. Still a bit too scatterbrained, but he's worth sticking with.

Pretty successful series at developing 10 options. Dmac looks the goods in the old BB role and can probably start if needed. With these three playing this well, we are looking much better for 2019.
I think B Smith might have to go to wing for the Landers, and get a bit of form there. I can’t see him keeping Jordie out of 15 all the way to the WC anyway.
