He's a year too late to be able to discuss what its like to be massively overrated by your fans when the rest of the world thinks you're a bit shit. Do you reckon he snuck their latest album onto the teams phones without them asking for it?

England have named their team. I can't remember Jonathan Joseph on the Wing before:

@Catogrande I really like the balance of the backline, but I'm a fan of Joseph. The loose forwards? Meh. Sinckler and Kruis are going to be busy carrying.

@Bones I too am a fan of Joseph and reckon he's been a bit unlucky under Eddie. However I have serious doubts about him as a winger, especially up against a fired up and confident Irish team with good wingers. I'm with you on the loose forwards, the current selection weakens us at 8 and at 6 as well as upsetting the balance. Not. A. Fan.

Lots of experience and quality for England in that side.

But Lawes is a Lock not a flanker. Curry is a flanker not a Number 8. Joseph is a Centre not a Wing.

I seem to recall Joseph being a wing who covered centre when he first came along. Am I wrong?

Proof will be in the pudding but I think he'll do very well.

@Bones My memory (which I have to admit is pretty much shot) is that he has filled in at wing before and done OK-ish.

Jonathan Joseph was a Wing at club level when he first played for London Irish about ten years ago. Been a Centre throughout his time at Bath since 2013. This will be his first Test start at Centre, but has covered the wing off the bench before.

@sparky I think he was a centre but LI played him at wing for a short while to start off.

Yep the last game they didn't lose was against the All Blacks, so this is a big chance for Italy to back that up with another excellent cancellation performance. Cancellation draws against two teams that have been ranked No 1 in the last 6 months or so is nothing to sneeze at. I think with more and more games cancelled due to the associated problems of climate change and the break down of society, Italy could really put itself at the forfront of this growing method of not losing rugby games.

They certainly showed the Scots how to do it in the RWC. Scotlands possible cancellation performance was amazingly more pathetic as their actual game performance against Japan.
