Waisake Naholo released by London Irish after an injury plagued two seasons. Has only played 40 minutes of a reserve game in the last 18 months.

Hope it wasn't that miracle leg.

It was this one, as seen in a rare appearance last season. Not sure if it's the magic one or not, but there was definitely no bloody magic this time.

@margin_walker notice Motu Matu’u is in that bunch aswell.
He's been okay, but pretty firmly second choice. Spent a lot of the season banned though after two red cards for high shots, which probably didn't help him retention wise. Will still do a job somewhere though. Not sure if he's heading home or not.
He'd be excellent an excellent pick up for Moana Pasifika

Waisake Naholo must have had the least successful NH club career of any ex-AB that went north.

Mason Emerson (Hawke's Bay) has signed a 2-year contract with French club Valence Romans, which has just been relegated from the Pro D2 to the Championnat Fédéral Nationale. They're on a recruitment spree, no doubt in the hope to earn promotion back to Pro D2, next year.

Just announced on the Breakdown:
Tabai Matson is the new Head Coach of the Harlequins.
And more importantly Tim Southee is still a loyal Chiefs supporter.

@darren no he wasn’t “apparently” he struggled for form and to get back to where he was 2016-2019, but more of a case of Holland having to justify their 5 year deal of “the next big thing” Billy Proctor.
@mikey07 Pity he does not have to justify things to all the season ticket holders. You could throw in the loyal purchase your ticket on the day brigade as well. Come to think of it first and foremost should be the financial members of each and every rugby club in Wellington and Horowhenua-Kapiti who between them hold over 50% of the ownership of the outfit.

@higgins how quickly they’d be all down the road if this was the states, I hate throwing the boot into a franchise I’ve supported since I was 9 but somethings definitely rotten with the organisation. Nothing like rewarding failure with a new contract extension.
