Will be interesting. Looking forward to this game.

Interesting, yes, but I am dreading it.

Jerome "deal" Garces, with Bonkers Jonkers as TMO, probably means that the wife will leave the room within the first couple of minutes (when I start my tirade about morons ruining my lifelong passion for rugby, etc). Shouting at a tele on your own isn't as much fun and the cat and puppy leave as soon as they hear the Haka these days. I expect it to be close and tense.

Wait, you’re married to my wife?

      Very diplomatic. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Typical Welsh comment on this topic is: "the England Football team are great and I'll support them when Wales isn't playing, ditto the English Rugby League team and of course, Cricket. But I just can't understand why the Pom Rugby team always has so many pricks in it"

      Logical. Over time

      England football > Wales football
      England cricket > Wales cricket
      England league > Wales league

However at Union it’s pretty much much parity over the years with sporadic periods of dominance one way or another = greater rivalry.

It’s just that in comparison we don’t get so easily worked up about it.

Is the symbol '>' meant to signify greater than?

The England cricket team is the England and Wales team. Always has been to my knowledge.

@mikethesnow also Daly - get under his skin early on with some good defensive smothering and pressure from his outside and he puts the blinkers on. I find May irrationally irritating but he was robbed a couple of times by Daly putting it under the jumper.

Is this the first time the All Blacks have a full compliment to choose from?
Even allowing guys coming back from injury or illness.
When was the last time we had Coles, BBBR, SBW, Ben from accounts, our starting props etc all available at the same time?

Worked in Sth Wales for 2 years. The likes of Jason Leonard, Will Carling & Robshaw etc, were regarded as top blokes while the likes of Mike Brown or Matt Dawson were seen as twats.

Personally, I think the Welsh just have a finely developed sense of which players are pricks to lose to...

Oh, and Jonathan "space out wide, space out wide" Davies was regarded as a complete tosser for some reason

@virgil outside of probably Whitelock & Taylor, rest of the forwards have had decent spells on the sideline so fatigue shouldn't be an issue as it can be at this time of year.

@mn5 Yeah. The Carling thing is annoying. I liked not liking him. Wasn't he shagging a royal at one stage?
Was a joke about her and Jonah being similar i.e. both fucking good rugby players.
I had an issue with it as I didn't really rate Carling. Gusgott had some good days.

As for the Hakarena - "England have an amazing chance to be crowned world champions"....

Or not make it out of their group.

@bones He had a tendency to run sideways too much and a low work rate. But he has really worked on those two areas rather than just relying on his pace

We have played England 24 times in England (22 at Twickenham) for 18 wins, 5 losses and 1 draw

Thier last 2 victories (2012 & 2002) have come when they have scored over 30 points and also kept us under 30.

Thier wins prior to these in 1993 & 1983 and both those scores were 15-9, while the other win was 1936, 13-0.

Biggest English margin was 2012 when they won 38-21.

Average score is 13-20, although if we remove the pre-1995 scores, the average score increases to 19-27.

                                        Tuesday musings:

given no one ever knows when the team is named, why cant Hansen & Co simply name the team at the same time NZT, regardless of where they are?

England is -13 NZT, what difference would there be between them naming the team at 5am NZT v 6PM NZT on a Thursday (if that was when they decided to name it) not to mention the fact the team sheet must be given to media agencies prior to this with an embargo on releasing anyway (especially if you consider the 5am NZT when it is quite often released)

Given they will know today who their 23 will be barring any training injuries, just makes no sense, no sense at all.

TAB has ABs at $1.13. England at $5.35.

They're giving England 13.5 points head start at evens.
