No one should be bashing their wife. Occupation is utterly irrelevant. Also, implying that all rugby players are thick thugs is hugely disrespectful. FFS.

First part is most relevent. The fact this has to be spelled out actually makes me sad.
the 2nd part? Really pisses me off. I fucking hate that generalisation about rugby players. Most especially because I, and pretty much all my friends, played rugby all our lives (until we got too old).
At least we know jags4life never played, helps when judging his "insight"

@Jaguares4real maybe a bit more time on the fern will show we are typically interested in a bunch of stuff around and in addition to sport. If you've have been lurking for a while you've missed a bit.
You didn't call them meatheads but an earlier post clearly stated you don't expect as much of them as politicians or presumably other 'professionals'?. Why is that?

I'm willing to cut you a bit of slack because i assume English is your 2nd language, so there will be some shit lost in translation. But the general gist of your posts is you are pretty cool with someone beating on their missus, as long as they are good at footy. That's pretty fucked up.

Rugby players have a set of skills who entertain
Politicians are elected officials big difference IMO who have a say in your life

there is no higher standard when it comes to beating on people. women, men, kids. it doesn't matter. I think i kind of see what you are getting at, but i really disagree with it.
