@kiwiinmelb said in Boxing Thread: Big card tomorrow, unusual to see so many big names on the same card even if there are mismatch’s , Probably won’t save him but Joe looks in fantastic nick (49 mins in)
‘Small’ heavyweight Parker is outweighing Wilder by 32 lbs for this fight ! I thought they’d be much closer than that, both around the 230 lb or about 105kg mark.

Statistically wilder is a freak of nature with the way he generates power from that slingshot action and the lean frame . But if there is a disadvantage even though we haven’t seen it often with the calibre of fighters he has faced , those skinny legs do wobble when he is hit .

I suspect joes team will roll the dice and be aggressive as a moving target , going 12 rounds wilth wilder without wearing a big shot is a tough ask , try to strike first may be the fight plan . At least it might be entertaining The danger I see is him being hit as he comes forward , particularly the way he likes to do that small hop as he moves in

Wilder does have a good chin and heart as he showed against Fury

Barry talks a lot of shit but he speaks some sense here ( I hope ) Interesting stuff. Ali and Frazier both died ( relatively ) young and who knows what the future holds for Bowe and Holyfield. Ken Norton ( also RIP ) deserves a mention too for his epic battles with Ali. Top heavyweight boxers are the toughest mo fo’s on planet earth. EDIT: I can’t post the link but it’s Kevin Barry discussing the fight, google it.

@kiwiinmelb It's his only way to victory. Many fighters have tried to avoid Wilder's right hand for 12 rounds but he'll catch you eventually with a negative mindset.

Yeah , has to roll the dice and attack him , Fa after doing surprisingly well for 6 rounds , has just been dropped twice and looking in big trouble as I’m writing, Sanchez has some nice power .

@kiwiinmelb Fa would have won round 6 too if it wasn't for his lapse in concentration by dropping his lead hand.

Dubois v miller was a good watch Don’t know much about bivols opponent , but looking forward to watching bivol , he’s a class act

@kiwiinmelb Arthur is barely British level in fairness. He upset Yarde a little while back and is well schooled with a decent enough jab, but like Bivol, Arthur also lacks a bit of pop. There are 3 certainties in life. Death, taxes and Dimitrii Bivol winning fights via UD.
