Is the slow moving dump truck Serfontein injured or have the Bok selectors seen the light?

      Not sure Nepia.
But he hasn't been in the mix at all this season.

          Oh no you dont!
          AB's must still be favourites.
Ireland, England and Wales also ahead of the Boks.
          Aussie up there too.

But yes, happy with that squad. Apart from Dyanti being missing through injury, those are the best guys we have so I can't complain about the squad selection.

You’ve named your squad and a strong one at that. We are still sitting on our hands trying to figure out who our starting 6, props and wingers are....

It's a good thing that Dyantyi didn't make the RWC squad.

Dyantyi returned a positive finding for a then undisclosed prohibited substance after being tested on 2 July following a Springbok training camp. In a statement released last Saturday, Dyantyi denied taking any banned substances and requested that his B sample be tested.

Saids confirmed on Friday that Dyantyi’s B-sample was tested at the World Anti-Doping Agency (Wada) accredited laboratory at the University of the Free State. The test confirmed the results of the A-sample of the presence of the banned substances: metandienone, methyltestosterone and LGD-4033.

Dyantyi has been formally charged with a doping offence for multiple anabolic steroids and metabolites. He has the decision of either accepting the charge and sumbitting a plea for a reduced sanction or contesting the charge before an independent tribunal panel.

Should Dyantyi contest that charge and plead not guilty a hearing will be set down within the next four weeks, and he will be required to provide evidence that can prove his innocence.

Dyantyi was left out of the Springboks’ 31-man squad for the World Cup after an injury-hit Super Rugby season. Bok coach Rassie Erasmus said the decision to omit Dyantyi was made before the results of his A-sample came to light.

Pity. He had super promise and could have been a role model.

Sometimes there are asthma medications etc that are banned but could have been accidentally used.

There are no real medical uses for anabolic steroids on the other hand.

                            Cheating is cheating.

Interestingly there has been little coverage of this in SA papers. I asked why and a SA mate said because he is yet to be proven guilty and so it will be seemed racist if they publish his preliminary positive result!

Interestingly there has been little coverage of this in SA papers. I asked why and a SA mate said because he is yet to be proven guilty and so it will be seemed racist if they publish his preliminary positive result!

Really? It was/is a pretty big story, but as far as I can see not really much to report.

Dyanti tested positive during an out of season test, he brought out a statement admitting the failed test and denying the allegations. His B sample came out positive and the substances were made public. It appears a hearing will be held, but it's not yet clear what the case will look like.

Pity. He had super promise and could have been a role model.

Sometimes there are asthma medications etc that are banned but could have been accidentally used.

There are no real medical uses for anabolic steroids on the other hand.

                                      Cheating is cheating.

I am hoping that he gets cleared of all of this.
Not quite sure how though. A & B samples tested positive...

Having said the above, there are as yet unsubstantiated rumours doing the rounds about that testing facility - and they're not positive (if you'll pardon the unintended pun).

@Billy-Webb There are however photos of a group of bodybuilders masquerading as rugby players, apparently 😉
