Dunno where else to put this. Akira talks about last season and how close he was to signing with the Hurricanes.
@Yeetyaah he may still do that, depends if Sotutu locks down a starting role or not. I would prefer Ioane to Fifita, the guy is a twit.

Barrett back at work today
if you combined those two guys you would have quite a player

By the way, the list of players with contracts expiring in 2020 is still quite long!
Most important players (current & fringe ABs) of who the re-signing or departure still has to be announced (if my list is complete, I may have missed announcements):
Scott Barrett
Mitch Drummond
Gareth Evans
Vaea Fifita
Jack Goodhue
Luke Jacobson
Nepo Laulala
Atu Moli
Angus Ta'avao
Patrick TuipulotuAlso plenty of non-ABs.

@Number-10 Hmmm, interesting. He had an out-clause for 2020 (that he obviously didn't use). I wonder whether he really has one for 2021, or whether they're confusing it with the one he had for this season.

Tyrel Lomax wasn't the only player who was cited and suspended after last week's round:
The FPRC accepted a guilty plea from Santiago Socino of the Jaguares for contravening Law 9.12: Stamping or Trampling. The incident occurred in the 80th minute of the match between the Sharks and Jaguares at Jonsson Kings Park in Durban on 7 March 2020.
The FPRC of Adam Casselden SC (Chairman), Eroni Clarke and Stefan Terblanche deemed the act of foul play merited a mid-range entry point of 6 weeks due to the World Rugby instructions that dictate any incident of foul play involving contact with the head must start at a mid-range level. However, taking into account mitigating factors including the Player's clean judicial record and the fact the Player has pleaded guilty at the first available opportunity, the FPRC reduced the suspension to 3 weeks.
Socino has been suspended from all forms of the game for 3 weeks, up to and including Saturday 4 April 2020.
