@MiketheSnow said in UFC / MMA: I'm with Dana DDP didn't do enough to take it away for me. Strickland was bloodied, but DDP was bruised. Strickland will kick himself for coasting, hoping DDP would gas. I get the sentiment when looking at the fight overall but it's scored round by round. Stricklands corner should've been more urgent and let him now he was digging a hole for himself on the scoreboard I thought he did a similar thing vs Cannonier too. He mistakes being relatively comfortable in a round with doing enough to win the round. He had enough in him to beat Cannonier and let too many rounds drift

Could easily have gone in ‘Awesome’ but if you don’t know of him it doesn’t resonate

Justin out, Junior in Only a day out from the biggest fight of his career, against No 15-ranked Marcos Rogerio de Lima at UFC 298 in California, the Kiwi heavyweight was forced to withdraw due to a knee injury. Though Tafa will be disappointed, it has provided his younger brother, Junior, the opportunity to become a legend in the eyes of UFC fans. Junior, also a UFC heavyweight, has stepped in for his brother, signing his fight contract on Saturday morning (NZ time) a little more than an hour before getting on the scales to make the fight official.

Good card Volk got caught after being slightly in front over two rounds. All the talk for the next fight is going to be about his chin.. two big knockouts in a row Whittaker extremely quick and Costa, despite losing, looked as good as he ever has Garry in control throughout. Not sure how one judge gave it to Neal Dvalishvili will be champ soon. The 135lb division is so good at the moment

UFC 299 From the bottom Great last round from Joanne Wood on which to end her career Big Boy looked destructive. Will be interesting to see how he progresses Pereira fight was a great watch, and great finish Great comeback from Blaydes. He’s still in the mix Huge comeback from Della Maddelena in his toughest fight to date Page too good for Holland, but will have to improve to go deep in this division Dustin is a beast. Benoit too. Great fight. Suga put on a masterclass Hope he gets the Topoura fight

It's going to be interesting to see who they match Page up against. Given his age I think they'll keep feeding him strikers and build him up as a contender. Thompson next maybe? I thought Dustin was struggling but he had the will to stay in it. Great turnaround I didn't think O'Malley would be that dominant. Has to fight Dvalishvili next. I'll pick the Georgian in that one.. he won't give O'Malley any room

Bobby Knuckles v Chimaev in Middleweight title eliminator

@MiketheSnow said in UFC / MMA: Bobby Knuckles v Chimaev in Middleweight title eliminator Good fight. Go Whittaker. It raises a few questions though Where does this leave Strickland? He's still claiming he didn't lose.. he's not going to get an immediate rematch. He needs to fight someone. Maybe a rematch with Cannonier, another fight he claims he won? Whittaker was being talked about as headlining Perth. That won't happen now. Della Maddalena will surely be on the card but will he headline a PPV? My guess is DDP and Izzy fight in Perth a fight that DDP has delayed twice already. The winner of that will then fight Whitaker/Khamzat

Add in all that shit after his court appearance and it’s very easy to cheer for DDP in this one.

Huge card. Even the early prelims are good Almost all the fights are close.. really hard to pick. My guesses will be worse than normal Alex Pereira v Jamahal Hill
 Zhang Weili v Yan Xiaonan
 Justin Gaethje v Max Holloway
 Charles Oliveira v Arman Tsarukyan
Bo Nickal v Cody BrundageJiří Procházka v Aleksandar Rakić
 Calvin Kattar v Aljamain Sterling
 Holly Holm v Kayla Harrison
Sodiq Yusuff v Diego LopesJalin Turner v Renato Moicano
 Jéssica Andrade v Marina Rodriguez
Bobby Green v v Jim Miller
Deiveson Figueiredo v Cody GarbrandtPereira v Hill is 50/50 IMO. I lean towards Hill because he's been in more MMA situations Gaethje v Holloway - I think the dumb belt encourages a certain type of fight and the help Gaethje Bo Nickal - zzzzz. He's an interesting prospect. It's time for him to fight better people though. Lots of pressure on him to do it in style though Holm v Harrison - I'm suspicious of how well Harrison can handle that weight cut. I think Holm keeps this at distance and gets a late stoppage I hope Miller wins but Bobby has been in good form
