UFC 306 Noche What an amazing spectacle Was like watching a fight from the future from a 90s action flick Epic Souza v Jauregi was a top fight and finish
 Great finish from Bahamondes
Ribovics v Zellhuber was an all-time classsic
Lopes looked very good against Ortega but could/should have finished it in the first
Schevchenko took Grasso's soulMerab pulled off the unexpected. Made O'Malley look ordinary Going to be interesting to see how both fighters go in their next fights

Just caught up on this yesterday as was travelling over the weekend. Sphere looks amazing, definitely becoming a bucket list attraction. Awesome fights up until the co-main events, got bored during the women's match, just not a great spectacle for the uneducated fan like me. Merab/O'Malley was only slightly better maybe more for Merab's antics, the dude is hilarious. O'Malley just didn't fire until too late, could have been a hell of a match had he gone with those front kicks early. Not particularly excited about 307 though keen to see Harrison in action again, 308 is where it is at though. Need to clear my calendar for that

Great fight. Smith faster and with more reach, he got the first two rounds. Tau had a great 3rd round I assume he's lost but maybe has a chance at a contract as a loser?
Edit nope. Got some praise for the comeback but no contract Tau is a bit of a beast eh! Just kept going forward and I was so impressed he didnt tap in the 2nd as he looked to be in a pretty shit place there but got out of it really well. Massive last round but just not enough.

French crowd sounded great. Must be so loud in person with the roof etc Battle was impressive, super quick. Jousset had the edge on power but the damage slowly built up. He seems to feint a lot less than other ckb fighters I wasn't picking Moicano to win but he dominated BSD in the first round. He had another great interview after the fight Ziam ahd the most violent KO of the night

Good effort from Rountree. He was quicker than I thought. AP was brutal in that 4th round Yeah he was a worthy opponent. But man he got battered in the 4th. Pennington was gipped IMHO. She smashed Pena. Harrison had to work for it but will come back better. Buckley v Wonderboy was a great watch. Great win for Spann

Finally caught up on this. Some odd score cards in the earlier matches. I'd be curious how judges get judged, surely that position is ripe for dodgy betting syndicates to get certain decisions made. Unfortunate for Pennington but that first round could have gone either way so I think the decision fair even though she did more in the last 2 than Pena did in the first 3. Really didn't enjoy the 4th round beating of Rountree. The guy has a lot of talent, could be an absolute star but surely this fight was too soon for him, just seemed like padding for Periera's record knowing he wasn't going to test the champs ground game. Seemed like a lot of really unnecessary punishment once it was obvious he was already out on his feet and wasn't going to be a threat. Do corner's throw the towel in these days?

Had to avoid the internet to not get this one spoiled by the time I caught up. What an absolute cracker of an event. Easily the best since 300..might have even enjoyed it more due to actually knowing a few of the fighters and their history now than I did back then. From the ones I remember:
Leal was robbed, such a rough start to the pre-lims, I don't know what causes these extremely bad judging calls thankfully it wasn't indicative of the rest of the day.Basharat was awesome still taking that match despite Hugo appearing to not even try to make weight. First time I've seen Barnett, damn he looks like fun..a shame the fight ended the way I would have expected from such a physique. Gutted the Orolbai lost, hell of a fight, I wonder if he could actually see out of that eye? Something so likeable about him, looks like Gengus Khan reincarnated. Aslan looks like a monster, hopefully see him on some main events now. Magomedov's double spinning backfist was incredible. The dude looks like a hell of a Bond villain, one eye? Thought Murphy might have been fortunate on the decision but it was close enough to not be a concern. So weird Rakic's corner telling him he was 2 rounds up coming into the 3rd when he was clearly at least 1 down if not 2..final scoring showed that, could have made for a hell of a 3rd round if he'd tried to outscore or put Ankalaev away. I now get the hype about Chimaev...feels like it just a matter of time before he is defending the title from the rest of todays current contenders. So gutted that Holloway went down, become a huge fan of his since 300. Thought he was well on top of Tuporia in that first round, clearly outboxing him..but damn once Tuporia got his timing right that power was not to be denied. Showed some class after the win which was great to see after all the dumb shit he'd been drumming up of the last few months. 309 is going to be a huge let down after this one.
