A enjoyable regional card. Match ups generally favoured the locals but they still had to deliver

    4/4 for CKB

Ulberg gets a little bit better each fight. Good feints in this fight, he had Reyes biting on most of them and confused on how to close distance. I see lots of criticism of Reyes today, yes he is limited but Ulberg deserves credit for scrambling his thinking before the finish

UFC will be happy. He's marketable but was lacking a highlight finish in his recent fights. I'm sure they are hoping he faces Pereira. You know what the marketing will be "Adesanya's team mate.."

Brando looked scary. Looking forward to seeing how he progresses

Rowston did well. One of the few ANZACs who wasn't a favourite and he destroyed an experienced fighter. Great to see after he had such a long road to the UFC

Tough fight for Stirling. Mostly because Bellato had one off his best fights (the criticism after the Craig fight made him focus?). A good fight for Stirling's development he had to adjust during the fight and find a way too win. He's still the fighter with the highest ceiling at CKB IMO

Matthews v Magny was ruined by the ref. He made an incorrect call but he still made it.. he can't pretend he didn't end the fight. I presume this will be a Matthews win or a no contest. Shitty for both of the fighters.

The first Kiwi female UFC fighter had a promising start. Montague needs to tighten up her striking defence but that strength was impressive. Most of the division will struggle against her as long as she can get it off the feet

Took an age before I got to watch it. Super enjoyable as a non-neutral. Clean sweep on my picks if that dodgy Magny win gets overturned. Black Jag is crazy confident. I hope he gets more of a following now, doesn't appear to have many international fans if at all. Awesome to see that Aussie heavyweight get the performance bonus. He said he had to take a $100K loan to train so thats half of that paid back already! One to watch for sure.

..but I'd be stoked if Pereira wins.

Really can't see Ulberg getting title shot next unless there are injuries.
Ank wins, then belt will be against the winner of Proch & Rountree, Ulberg sneaks in if that winner is injured.
If Pereira wins by decision then I expect an Ank/Pereira 3 though if Ank is injured I'd like to think Ulberg would be ahead of a Rountree or Prohaska rematch.

3 out of 8 picks...nice little reinforcement as to why I dont gamble.

Sounds like the perfect result for Ulberg. No way they do a trilogy with Ank or Jiri. At 38 most likely he moves to heavyweight for a final hurrah at adding some more legacy to his name. Jiri vs Ulberg for vacant belt?

Ulberg could do with some media training interview was rough.

I don't think he can be trained.. he seems oblivious to everything

Shame he dropped the "Ladies Night" nickname. They could've leaned into the ex male stripper, zoolanderish cliche

Yeah he shouldn't have any interest in fighting Jiri for a 3rd time. So it all depends if he wants to move too HW now

The White House card (June 14) is what everyone wants to be on. I can imagine him taking some time off and trying for a super fight v Jones or Aspinall. No point risking all of that for another LHW defence

Saw an interview where he doesn't think he will have to give up the LHW belt before moving to HW, his argument was that he is so active there is no need. Maybe right there but I really like the end of the double belt stuff just holds up multiple divisions.
