Also noticed the commentators date Ex-avier.
All of them? A bit slutty.

Drive it Waikato!!!
Such a shame that with this being potentially the best NPC in decades with ABs being involved that there are no crowds so it will be hard to see just how popular it is.
First time in years and years that I have set aside time to watch a NPC game

Another blow to the union's struggling financially.. Defo felt like a good crowd would have turned up yesterday.
Getting fucking bored of all the impacts on sport because a handful of people have covid -
I was told that they could only have 200 people in attendance yesterday. That seems low compared to other games but was dependent on the number of entry points to keep bubbles separate.

Just finished watching the recording of this.
Have not read the thread.
Entertaining game. Afternoon rugby. Who knew?
Based on the personnel had Welly winning easy
But yay the good guys.
EX-avier* Roe looks handy. What's his back story? Age group?
*So cool to have X as your first initial I reckon. Was keen to name first born Boo Xanthe but Mrs Boo blocked that as she reckoned too many people would mis-pronounce as Ex-anthe (like I have with "Zavier" above). But I digress. Young fulla looked good though.

We never do well as the favourites...ah the joys of being a Lions fan

@booboo My son is a Xavier and a halfback too. People stopped emphasising the 'X' years ago. I think you will be hearing a lot more about Xavier Roe. Have watched him at age grade and was amazed he wasn't picked up for super rugby yet.
@ARHS the Ex thing just annoys me.
Anyone who has been on The Fern for more than a month or so would probably pick up that I'm easily annoyed

But ...
There's a local School here in The Bay called Xavier Catholic College. Even parents with kids there called it Exavier.
I've decided to call it Ex-a-vy-ah.
God I'm an old and grumpy pedant.

Would us old grumpy pedants complain in the bogan's names thread about "Zavier". I think so, well me anyway.

Ok boomer

People stopped spelling like that in the late 2000s when phones with full keyboards became the norm
-
@Yeetyaah I'm not a boomer and you don't have my staff or my nieces. They spell like that.
The odd thing about it is that it works.

My mum is late to the texting show. Only been doing it for about 3-4 years. Her older sister (my Aunty) is really good and quick at is and uses abbreviations all the time.
This weekend before our horse was racing, Mum sent, "Gluck"

I think your Mum has just invented a word, and I like it.
All of the years we have been wasting letters it seems.
Anyway the Wellington half back's parents decided to do it years ago too.
