We have to give him a nod for keeping the culture from repelling players otherwise based in Auckland from playing for the Blues as was the case with Nucifora, Lam and Kirwan.
It's not surprising a married father of two who just played two seasons away from his kids in Auckland due to COVID isn't going to play for the Highlanders.
