Interesting what Kearns said about excessive state influence in Aussie rugby.

      He acted like he scored

i thought he looked sheepish until other came to him to celebrate

Just watched it again, I personally don’t think Coles reaction had anything to do with the actual decision and how the TMO and ref dealt with it.

If it did, then rugby is truly fucked

@Daffy-Jaffy Good video, Kearns actually sounds intelligent outside of the commentary box. Made good points I thought.

And this is the thing - Australian Rugby often prides itself on being largely private school, educated, and erudite.

So why does Kearns carry on like a one-eyed flog in the commentary box? It might appeal to certain members of the cognoscenti, but FFS it just sounds like bogan rubbish. And I'm hardly in their Private School wheelhouse.

maybe he and Marshall have some kind of bet on about who can be the worst Comms man, especially when both seem to offer great analysis away from the Mic.

Sotutu changed his positioning in the scrum to enable a faster pick from the scrum.

As soon as the All Blacks pack engages on the Wallabies’ 5m line, Sotutu immediately shifts from the conventional number-8 slot to bind between his openside flanker and loosehead lock. This enables him to pick up Codie Taylor’s channel-1 strike before the Australian back row has even started thinking about defending New Zealand’s first-phase attack; before Ned Hanigan knows it, the Blues loose forward is attacking the 10m of space on the short side at pace.

Doesn't seem like something new, definitely seen it done before. Sotutu was lightening quick though.

Seldom. The pleasing thing is it shows ABs had excellent tactical awareness. Sotutu’s work at scrum time marks him as a thoroughbred 8.

He's going to have a tough time getting past Jordie and Clarke and whatever other shiny new wing people decide is suited to the midfield.

As long as Ardie is happy to transition to 13.

Pretty certain. It's stock standard stuff. Zinny is a good example.

I also thought they banned it a few years back. But that must have gone by the wayside

There was an example of this in a game earlier in the year. The point was made that the no.8 needs to move before the ball has been fed into the scrum for it to be legal.

Man ANZ is a terrible stadium for fans.

The food is a fucking disgrace. Every single outlet sells the same shit - pies, chips, and hotdogs. You couldn't even get a pizza if you wanted, let alone some noodles or sushi or a decent burger. Imagine all the Asian cafe/restaurant owners who would love a crack at setting up in one of the kitchen to roll out awesome noodle/rice dishes at HT, could all be pre-prepared, pre-ordered, pre-paid for easy collection at HT.

At HT I queued up at one of the coffee bars for 15mins to get the kids a hot chocolate, only to be told they don't do hot chocolates. Only positive there was that I missed the Wallaby try, and if I didn't see it it didn't happen... πŸ‘Š

I see the attendance was only 26k, thats pretty disappointing even given the weather.

Not much different from grounds in NZ, where the peak culinary offering is probably a Fritz's weiner

I had delicious Vietnamese a couple of years ago at Bay Oval, although it was the summer.

                                        Knee-trembler?

It was good, but not THAT good!
