I would be looking at giving Boshier a run off the bench at some time and Sotutu needs to have some competition to see if that gets him out of his below 2020 performances.
I think Boshier has to be considered and Jacobson...would they be worried about his injury tendencies?
I read that he wants to concentrate on 8 (rugypass article)-sounds like a good idea to me, far more 6 contenders but I'd guess he'd want to put on some more kilos (if he is only about 107kgs)..quick question, isn't one of the upcoming games a good idea to look at one of the younger locks not in serious/current AB contention?

Bad super form only affects you so far at AB selection table. If they think they'll get the players to rise to the occasion, it'll be on.
Sotutu's form has been realllllly average this year, along with Akira. Even Ardie to 8 starts to look tempting

I think on the back of his performance vs the Highlanders he has to play. Although lester Fianganuku deserves a go as well.

@machpants I only mentioned the Heartland-Ranfurly Shield game between the Magpies and a Heartland team, which will normally be end of June. NPC will probably start in August, so it will depend on whether ABs selected for the Bledisloe Cup and TRC will be released. They've done it before, so it could happen, but it's a different time/situation to that Heartland-Ranfurly Shield game.

If the ABs are going to do a bolter or an apprentice this year then look no further than De Groot imho.
