@MiketheSnow seen plenty where the leading shoulder arm has not wrapped, but the trailing arm has and its been ok, in that his leading shoulder arm (which is the one that could do more damage if just a shoulder charge) attempted to wrap, would have been a travesty if that was a PT, more so that if that was the case, it would have to have been a YC as well.

Pretty much shows how bad value that NZ stars are to overseas clubs most of the time. For every Vito there are a dozen Sopoangas. It's bad for the club's performances, and both NZ and their player development. I regularly read all the 'players of the weekend' for Prem, T14, and Pro14 matches. It is really really rare to see a kiwi on that list. Boks and Islanders, yes. Kiwis and Ozzies? Nope.

So how about you clubs over there put yourselves in the black and stop paying stupid money for shit (in your comps) kiwi players!

In the team of the decade for the Prem and Pro14 you have 2 kiwis in the prem and 3 in the Pro14. Compare that to the 1 saffa in the each, or the 1 Fijian in each (but yes, no aussies).

Of course, I am counting Nacewa, Waldrom and Aki as kiwis. Nacewa and Waldrom are already back and I would bet Aki will be back eventually.

Whilst not in the Pro14 list, Hadleigh Parkes has been a great Kiwi servant to the Welsh club & country cause.

He’s been one of those “glue” players. Not necessarily outstandingly brilliant but consistently good.

Quite right, he was nowhere near being "outstandingly brilliant" on the odd time he managed to to make any Super Team's starting lineup during his four year involved at that level.

                      @Machpants

"Player of the weekend" lists, or teams of the year/decade, are mostly just subjective opinions from magazine/website editors or - as in this case - former players. IMO they don't say anything about the value of a player to a club. There are plenty of players in each team, who show up each and every game without doing the spectacular things that gives them headlines and spots in these lists. They are often very much appreciated by the clubs and team mates.

There are plenty of Kiwis who are re-signed by clubs for that very reason. Players like Fritz Lee, Tom Taylor, Tawera Kerr-Barlow, Charlie Faumuina, Isaia Toeava, Bryce Heem, Colin Slade are just a few examples. I'm sure Munster would have kept Alby Mathewson, too, if they could (he had to leave because of the number of foreigners in the squad, IIRC). I've heard he was highly regarded exactly because of his contribution to the development of the younger, Irish players.

                            Michael Fatialofa update

Warriors lock Michael Fatialofa has been retained in St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington overnight.

Fatialofa was taken from the pitch on a stretcher after he was injured in a collision shortly after he came on as a replacement in today’s Gallagher Premiership match against Saracens at Allianz Park.

We will provide a further update on Michael’s condition when we have one.

On behalf of Michael we would like to thank all those who have passed on messages of support and concern.

Just on Bryn Evans. He's a pretty leftfield selection compared to most others even with the glue player angle. He's done pretty well at Sale and has been a solid, reliable performer. That said, he's never come within a million miles of any Prem team of the year list and wouldn't really come to mind picking an outstanding performer in that position.

As a LI fan, he was actually pretty disappointing in his stint with us before Sale.

Waldrom on the other hand was superb for Leicester and Exeter.

A link to the footage of the Michael Fatialofa incident - https://rmcsport.bfmtv.com/rugby/premiership-tres-vive-inquietude-pour-un-joueur-de-worcester-blesse-au-cou-1835515.html. Really doesn't look good from his expression.

Bloody hope he comes through this unscathed.

Doesn't look like anyone did anything wrong (at least nothing obvious) - just very unlucky.
