Noticed he only had about half his matches accounted for and even taking out those at 12 and those as a sub there was a big gap.

Given how well known the Marshall/Mehrts combo is/was I can only assume that it has been talked up over the years by cantabs or a bloke with a microphone

If it's the one I think you are thinking of, I've only got 3 matches.
Just to clarify it is 3 matches (2 tests and 1 non-test)
