Os Du Randt won two WCs 12 years apart. I’m quite triggered on his behalf that he’s not there.

Not many to choose from, especially about Rugby, ironic for a predominantly Rugby related page too.

It's that time of the year when everyone seems to want to pick a all-time XV. This time it's a British rugby website called ruck.co.uk (never visited it myself). 200,000 respones they say.

    15: Serge Blanco (France)
    14: Bryan Habana (South Africa)
    13: Brian O’Driscoll
    12: Ma’a Nonu (New Zealand)
    11: Jonah Lomu (New Zealand)
    10: Dan Carter (New Zealand)
9: Joost Van Der Westhuizen (South Africa)
    8: Zinzan Brooke (New Zealand)
    7: Richie McCaw (New Zealand)
    6: Francois Pienaar (South Africa)
    5: John Eales (Australia)
    4: Martin Johnson (England)
    3: Owen Franks (New Zealand)
    2: Sean Fitzpatrick (New Zealand)
    1: Jason Leonard (England)

    Not a bad effort.

6 is blatently wrong (Kaino for me but much many others in the convo, Pienaar only around for a couple of years and only gets a mention for captaincy ... edit: oh yeah and he's openside ..)

The rest? Definitely in the mix.

    Not hateable but possibly debateable.

The one that jumps out for me is Franks.

Ardie Savea over Jordan is a fucking joke.

    What am i missing?

Hell I don't think it close, Ardie was our best player over year. Much as I a fan of Will Jordan, I don't think he was involved in all his games this year. He was really great at end of year, and perhaps bloody good generally up until then, but maybe earlier in season wasn't invoved enough? But that just my opinion of how I saw the tests.

I'm a massive Snake fan, but that is in no way a slam dunk. BOD's resume in an average team at times is excellent. They are just different - if you're picking a combo 12/13, then definitely Conrad. If not, BOD is pretty well ahead for me. He'd have been sensational with talent inside and outside him

As I mentioned, recency bias. Sella should be in the conversation at centre.
