realistically, what actual changes are available up front?

    Bower will deservedly stay
ST can come in to hooker
    Both our tightheads are shit
Retallick is out so Barrett in with Whitelock
Cane is captain and Ardie must start so that means a change at 6? or Save shifts to 6 and a new #8 brought in

That's it. That's what can be done.

Two changes in the tight 5 IMO. S Barrett returns and ST to start

Cane is captain and Savea & Ioane were two of the best players last Test. So no changes in the loosies.
What they do with the bench is more interesting. Hopefully Sotutu is given a chance

Foster wants us to trust him. Changes behind scenes apparently.

@ploughboy Williams is massive so I doubt he's got much stamina.

May never be a starter, but, as a bench prop he could eventually be devastating for 30 minutes.

which is fine to when he has to play 60 + minute

Our current tightheads seem to struggle with that, as well.

Maybe we can innovate and pick five props?

I’d take Jerry Collins over Frizell, and he’s dead.

@nostrildamus he promised they are keen to get stuck in, and try their hardest!

Hopefully on the plane to SA Fozzie will watch the opening 10 mins of each test over and over to see what Ireland do with the ball, and McLeod watches thier connected aggressive d line to realise rugby defence is still attacking the opposition, not sitting back waiting for them to get to you to make the tackle.

Wouldn't be surprised to see this forward pack:

              1 Bower
              2 Taylor
              3 Laulala
              4 Whitelock
              5 Barrett
              6 Ioane
              7 Cane
              8 Savea

              16 Taukei'aho
              17 Ross
              18 Tu'ungufasi
              19 Tuipulotu
              20 Papalii

There will be a minor attack plan tweak, if we are lucky. No changes to defence.

and if Taylor starts any more tests...and I guess not all of the lineout issues is due to him but he is likely a factor.

So they retained Cane and there are no changes to the inept coaching staff. Fuck me, the Boks are going to smash us up front.

At this rate we will be kicked out in the QF. France v Boks RWC Final. And we slump to #6 on the RWC rankings. Need to get rid of this absolutely useless, gultess prick.

Yeah, but that’s not enough is it? Keenness is the very least we expect, so saying it is simply a truism. I’m sure the team was keen before T3 as well, but they still got their arses handed to them, so what’s new?

If they want us to praise them for participating they can fuck off. Win or they’re no good to us.

is that word for word Foster? If so maybe he should go onto the front row. And as captain.

This kind of reminds me when Henry kept his job and it essentially caused the whole South Island to implode. Only this time we are all a united front.

So made my way through the audio of the press conference.

Interesting that ended on the altercation with Marshall abusing the All Blacks while legless drunk. Didn't sound happy that it had been recorded, and didn't think it was a big deal. He's spoken to both Akira and Marshall, and apparantly they've spoken as well.

My takeaway from the rest is that his assistant coaches are in the process of being fired. Just a guess, but I think that's what the "big" changes will end up being.

herein lies the big problem with our current season structure

Let's say, for a second, that the coaches cop the fuck on and realise that just maybe that Hoskins Sotutu bloke is quite good, and should play

By the time he gets to play South Africa he hasn't played a game of rugby in 7 weeks

Yeah, that's ideal before a test in the Republic
