Henry with two classic fast bowler dismissals, caught by the keeper. Top stuff.
I’m very pleased to see him step up and prove his worth as an international test player after a pretty awful period there ( he took four wickets on debut vs England but hit a bad patch soon after )
Nicholls got his double off 240 balls, that’s a bloody nice strike rate after all the play that was lost on Friday.

Chandimal edges through the vacant 3rd slip. With the juice in the pitch and the huge lead, maybe we should have the extra slip?

I think you make a fair point.
They did have a night watchman so not quite close to the bunnies coming in but a couple of strikes before lunch would be magnificent.

It's still 474 and they are settling in. Put guys all around the bat in an attempt to pressure them into a mistake

Their keeper has a pretty bloody handy first class record - 11 tons including a triple and an average over 60!

I reckon we enforce if we can. Forecast suggests we'll lose some time to rain so we probably want to maximize the time we have to bowl the out.

Yes although do the bowlers need a rest ? Maybe bat again for another cheeky couple of hundred runs and grind them totally into the dust ?

@MN5 agree. The bowlers can get cooked - we saw it against England. Unless we are really confident we've got deep bowling ( and I don' tthink we do) we should just bat again, and allow 170 overs or so to knock them over.
And as I write, a runout by MBracewell. Well done
