ABs win Laureus World team of the year

After many nominations, the back to back RWC winners got one over the line...seemed muted applause when thier name was read out.<br><br>
DC with the comeback award too. -

<p>In world terms, rugby barely registers.</p>

<p>Not complaining, well done to the lads.</p> -
<p>This is a good win for rugby more then anything else. Beating out F1 and Soccer is huge considering the following those sports have globally.</p>

<p>Actually, I see both the Boks and the poms rugby teams have previously won team of the year.</p> -
I would have been more surprised if we had lost. Considering how many times we've been nominated, and we missed out after the last world cup despite that shitty Bok team winning in 2007 and the poms winning in 2003.<br><br>
There would have been riots in the streets (in and around Don Frye's house). -

<p>I can live with the 2003 England team as for 2002-03 they were pretty dominant. But 2007 Boks??? The team that both the ABs and OZ beat</p> -
<p>while a great achievement, you do look back over some results and think what made the 2003 & 2007 RWC wins so special?</p>

<p>IIRC, 2007 was ultra special because of <em>the pact</em></p> -
