Reports are that the Patriots are picking up Stephon Gilmore. I didn't see that coming. Probably means that Ryan will go. Chances are Harmon and Butler might stay as well.
With Bennett on the outer, they've picked up Allen from the Colts.Will be interesting to see what happens with Hightower, who has been clutch in the past 2 superbowl wins.

Everything bad that happens to Brock is absolutely piss funny. You leave the Superbowl champions for a massive contract, and one year later, that team is paying the worst team in Football to take you off their hands.

@mariner4life so true. Texans Coach O'Brien will be happy - the rumour is he didn't even meet with Brock before the front office decided to sign him to that massive deal.
@canefan I agree. 49ers should be in no great hurry - if they can manage a decent trade for Cousins now then go for it, but otherwise they should wait it out a year and keep adding talent. In the NFL you can re-tool your roster fairly quickly - it's going to take longer than this offseason but theyve clearly started the process.

The Pats will be going for it the next two years so not surprised by such a big signing by their standards. Brady is 40 next season and Father Time will catch up with him soon.

I'm expecting the Pats to keep Butler.. but there are rumours of a trade with Cooks..which I think would be a bad idea.. unless theres another hidden gem on defence that BB knows about that we don't@mimic No need for a big name WR when they have Elderman and Hogan. I have a feeling the Pats will draft LA Tech WR Trent Taylor, and he'll probably go on to be a 1,000 yard, 8+ TD type of player.

49ers add another Chicago QB - Matt Barkley. Looks like they're going with veterans for this season, and no CKap return (I personally think he's done).
Washington continues to implode - they just fired the GM.

RG III is finished in Cleveland. Looks like he will have to be a backup somewhere else if he wants to remain playing.

I know the worst player in the league is still incredibly good, but to wash out at Cleveland? Wow.

@mimic Apparently Belichick is a big fan of Cook. But a first rounder and a third is quite a bit for a WR who played in a WR-friendly offence.

Patriots have been looking at WRs for a while now. Maybe TB put in a request to pick one up before he retires. Also being down against the Falcons made him realise that he might need some speed.

The Tony Romo saga is getting annoying. The Cowboys are going to release him, then they read the news and think they can trade him, then Fox Sports wants Romo to retire so he can work for them as a commentator, then the Cowboys find out that no team wants to give up anything for a guy who will probably retire. All within 3 days.

Patriots continue to improve - just signed RB Rex Burkhead from the Bengals. Could be another Danny Woodhead-type player for them (but bigger).

I don't know how it works but I think the Bengals are doing a few pre-draft deals to take advantage of their 9 position in the draft
