This applies to both the ABs and AB XV, but the following article says that Holland is available for selection now.

Otago and Highlanders lock Fabian Holland is eligible for All Blacks or All Blacks XV selection with immediate effect, the Sunday Star-Times can reveal. In August, World Rugby announced a change to Regulation 8 for national team eligibility that stated: “From August 1, 2024, any player with a genuine, close, credible and established link to a union is no longer required to complete 60 months [five years] of unbroken residency in the relevant country right up to the first time that player represents the union.

“Under the revised approach ‘rugby registration” over a 60-month period will need to be demonstrated via registration with a rugby body, including a national union or club.“

The Sunday Star-Times asked New Zealand Rugby if Holland would be covered by the change, and the national body confirmed that he would be given the green light.

How good was Roigard on his first game back? Notised DP being taken off, hopefully nothing serious.

          Generational talent.

Doesnt have Smiths pass (who does) but christ he is good with ball in hand.

Image how great he'll be regarded after he's started his second Test at 9, this time against top opposition.....

Talent for sure, but let's not get too carried away or raise expectations.

Can understand if he was in the AB XV to slowly bring him along but he’s just that good that he should be on the EOYT in the full squad. Find a spot for him.

What I like is how understated and effective in virtually every aspect, must be a nightmare for defenders given all the options he has.

@sparky I don’t know 100%. But I think it’s exactly the same squad as TRC with Roigard swapping with Hotham.

That’s the obvious conclusion when you analyse options.
The XV is where the interesting selections will be.

Players from both squads will be able to play for both teams from what I heard.
I’d say the 23 for the England game will go straight over. The Japan game will be rest of squad filled with NZXV players.

@pakman I wasn’t analysing anything. It was from the conversation I had with my source. But I can’t exactly ask him every player in every team and then I leak it on the fern. I think he’ll work out where it’s coming from.
From what we talked about it’s all pretty settled. They want experience on the tour. Apparently Sam Cane has been amazing around the squad.

Can understand if he was in the AB XV to slowly bring him along but he’s just that good that he should be on the EOYT in the full squad. Find a spot for him.
