I’m hoping Porirua park isn’t permanently in the long term plans for the Lions. They don’t seem to get many people turn up. Would love them to bring a few games back to the Hutt.
I think the problem of taking these games to small stadiums, it kind of stuffs up having season memberships. etc, That's perhaps why they won't take the games out to Hutt,. I do think is they going to stay at Porirua, they need to contemplate a scaffold stand type arrangement.

Christie has shaded Lakai which also a concern given the latter is highly rated
Lakai’s ceiling is much higher.

Lakai was also just coming off a knee injury and hasn’t exactly played for about 6 weeks. Wasn’t expecting him to set the world on fire in his first game back. He was solid on defence but had a few poor touches on attack, we know he can be much better than that.
Love was pretty disappointing today but showed some good solid touches in the second half. Seemed to be trying too hard.

@Steven-Harris Yeah - Johnny hasn't gone the way of a few wings - losing all their speed in their late-20s.
There will be a few Wellington forwards who won't enjoy reviewing Grace's try.
They all waited for someone else to chase back - and Cullen was the only guy who chased hard. He came from more than 10 metres behind and outran them.

@Chris Yeah - I think that's the purpose of swapping Chapman and Drummie.
Ta$man has Christie and Hotham, so whomever is behind them probably won't get much time - that's OK for Mitch at the tailend of his career, but they want Chapman playing.
Yep that is exactly the reason for the swap.

Concerning that Love made no impression on the chase on JM whos not exactly a spring chicken
Concerning is going a bit far. McNicholl showed in Super Rugby he still has genuine wheels
That’s Super Rugby 2025 champions McNicholl showing he still has genuine wheels
McNicholl has never been an easy run down.
Impressed with the good guys second half. A couple of shining lights in there amongst the vets and newer guys.
Is McAlister injured?

@Crazy-Horse Runs great lines for smallish loosefoward ,thought he was the Lions most effective forward.
Looks like a centre in the way he runs the ball.
