@NTA Strong agree.
-
@NTA They struggle with policing the ball at breakdown and the offside lines.
-
Two minutes to go. On balance, France deserve their lead.
-
Ireland need to go 70 metres to score the try and the clearance from their reserve half back is sloooooooowww.
-
Not sure about that last penalty either.
-
Penalty reversed with 9 seconds to go.
-
Clock has gone red. Ireland with the attacking lineout.
-
French so offside.
-
Ireland with the 5m lineout.
-
And the lineout is lost.
France win.
-
Lesson of the weekend.
Throwers hit your jumpers. Practice, practice, practice and practice again so you can do it in pressure situations.
-
Ireland throw that one away. Epic choke by the Irish in the RWC Quarter Final. Again.
-
A number of high tackles let go, and one tip tackle.
At least the quality of France came good in the end, after a strange ly passive first half from them. -

Ireland with the 5m lineout.
And fuck it. Go fast to 2 and maul it through? Nah...
France don't deserve that win IMHO. They got a couple of massive calls in their favour and the ref's review should be scathing - particularly given Aimee Barrett-Theron is over of the more experienced referees at this RWC.

The big moment in this game was immediately before halftime when Ireland had an 8 on 7 advantage at the scrum, had just won a scrum advantage five metres out, and instead of choosing to go for another scrum they opted for a tap.
And then going for a lineout at the end instead of a scrum - crazy stuff.

They were getting pay from their maul but refused to take the simple throw to 2. Or even 1. France weren't even marking up that well
