I ran into the Springboks at Trust Stadium in West Auckland after their training on Tuesday fair to say they are massive humans got a few pics with them
Even Kolisi who looks shorter on TV is 6’3 and Malcom Marx who was standing
in the picture is 6’3 ..PSDT is from the scale on my pic looks around 6’5 to 6’6 and Eban Etzebeth is just a giant at 6;7
PSDT was telling me he’s actually lost weight in the last year really nice fella he said RG Snyman was the tallest in the squad at 6’9
Quagga Smith is not overly tall under 6ft but great body mass ..
Rassie looks super chilled and looks to have a great synergy with his players
Boks have their last training at Trust stadium in Waitakere this afternoon for anyone who lives or works nearby -

An insect bite/cut according to TV3 news last night. Sounds serious.

@akan004 they were at the Stadium at 2pm on Monday wrapt up around 4pm so I’m assuming it will be around the same time I am working in the area today so will keep you updated

The best solution to NZ Rugby seems to be to sack everyone and appoint Wayne Smith.
He is a failure as an administrator (HB CEO) and as an AB head coach
He was a pretty good coach for the Black Ferns (12 wins in a row I think?), Crusaders and Chiefs.. oh and Northampton Saints + Kobe Steelers Director of Rugby..
Well apart from that what has Wayne Smith ever done for us
That deserved so much more love. Some people need to review their Python ( nudge, nudge, wink, wink say no more).

Unfortunately Amashukeli will be one of the ARs but I agree about your sentiments about the Georgian referee..there’s an arrogance about the guy -

He was also a very successful assistant coach for the ABs for a long time too.

I have only just read Chris B.’s post of three days ago, in the context of some posts about the Grizz Wylie era. The number 7 through that Shield era, and against the 1971 Lions, was Alex Matheson.
Alex unfortunately passed two weeks ago.
He used to say that the violent legend of that game was exaggerated and mostly created by the northern media.
Fergie had a certain changing room reputation which you may have heard, Chris?Yeah - I've read several times that that Lions-Canterbury game was over-hyped, mainly by the British media. Somewhere I've got TP McLean's book of the tour - TP may have said it. And that the Lions were no angels.
If I ever knew of Fergie's dressing room reputation, I've forgotten.
