@MN5 I've got a feeling Steve would be at least as harsh.

Getting out to a shit shot at a crucial time, with the Waugh twins waiting for you in the dressing room - you'd probably be best to walk off on the other side of the ground, hail a cab, and go home!

England were bowled out in 32.5 overs. It was the shortest first innings in an Ashes Test in Australia since 1902.

Oz could very easily have a first inning lead at the end of the day at this rate although these two are batting at glacial pace compared to England so far.

Based on how the English are bowling they could be all out by the end of the day too. I can't remember a more interesting first day where a team got bowled out.

Was the right approach from Marnus and Smith though, get to Tea no more wickets down and take some shine off the ball. England really need early wickets in the final session

Not a bad appeal I reckon.

Starc will need to back up in the second innings. He's the best aus by some margin.

    3/30 Smith out.

Hello fragile middle order. Starting to swing back towards a game...

@No-Quarter Was pretty naive of England not to come out and try to just play Starc out. Without Hazelwood and Cummins they were vulnerable behind him. Give him his first five overs, take some shine off the ball and attack the others.

However, their bowlers are bowling well enough to get them back in the game.

You just wonder whether the extra work they'll have to put in might cost them when you get to the fifth test.

31/4 - maybe they won't have to work so hard!!! 🙂

It’s a nice change seeing the batters under the pump through quality bowling, rather than being under the pump because they keep slogging themselves out.

Starting to think extending myself to fourth and fifth day tickets at the Gabba may not have been a wise idea.

Khawaja is living a charmed life, surely there must be someone under the age of 35 somewhere in Sheffield Shield who could do no worse.

@Donsteppa Pretty thin record over the past couple of years. Not much beyond the double hundred vs SL.
