The two best at disrupting the breakdown and winning turnovers were easily Savea and Kirifi in SRP. We tried them and they didn't exactly set the world on fire as a combo. Its just not an area where you need more than one guy. For us its Savea. For South Africa its Kwaga Smith for 30 minutes.

South Africa have a team of forwards who dominate collisions as a priority.

Malcom Marx is their best disrupter.

@gt12 Advantage needs to be reorganized so that if it is a knock on and turnover with clean possession, that's the advantage.

    100% this.

The Highlanders had some scary, hairy, half-bull props in that era and I can just imagine the flaring from their nostrils in the freezing air would have been a bit of a psychological weapon.

Sure, and when the Highlanders had electric backs staring at you with a scrum 60m out, that was a great psychological weapon too.

This whole argument is a bit like the one used about big football clubs not enjoying going away to Stoke on a Cold Tuesday night. The numbers don't back it up.
