I would love to know the long term stats on each team on how often they gain possession after a box kick etc. NZ seems quite poor and seem to lose the battle in the air.
So SA just have to win and they win TRC.

How many fucking times do you have to say "use it" at maul??
Yep should have blown that. We won’t bring up that other time the Aussies were told to use it and didn’t.
Players getting trapped by tackle should be free kick not penalty.

Aus loose forwards are bitching ours.
Lakai seems to be chasing shadows out there.
Australia seem so fluid in attack.
How did we let Schmidt go.
@mariner4life said in All Blacks vs Wallabies Bledisloe II:
Lol Lakai as slow as a wet week
Reminds me of NMS comeback.
Poor pass by Parker.

Anthems about even Stevens.
But pitchy from both
Points for the dress?
@antipodean Shows how important Holland is, not sure exactly how many of those 15 he took but 15-0 is one reason why we were competitive as opposed to SA where we could not win a lineout to save ourselves.

I think the big take away from the game should be copying how Australia make so many metres through the close channels and the forwards. Australia really was their own worst enemy with missed touch, penalties etc. When they actually held onto the ball, they really did make it look simple.
With a lot of players who have been made to look like donkeys in the Test arena, which suggests quality coaching is important!
It is a trade mark of his teams, Ireland were the same. Do the basics well, win set piece, make metres with ball in hand close to the ruck, defend well and the rest takes care of itself. The Wallabies unfortunately just let themselves down with discipline, simple errors and missed too many tackles.

The only true metric is the scoreboard.
A wise man once said "If we score more points than the opposition, we have a good chance of winning"
@brodean said in All Blacks vs Wallabies Bledisloe I:
I noticed Holland was the ABs top tackler. What about his defence do you have some issues with?
I think a few times he went wrong side of the ruck when defending close to the line or didn't see the space, pretty minor really but just comes with experience.
For me Holland has to start, yes, he needs to work on defence and few other areas but his lineout work is the best in the team. Set piece is everything these days and having a very reliable jumper is key and Holland gives the team that. Good coaches should be able to help him round out his game.
@antipodean said in All Blacks vs Wallabies Bledisloe I:
Ref is ignoring the Wallabies doing exactly the same thing at the ruck he's penalising us off the field for.
Yep the Wallabies 14 fell onto the ruck sealing it off.
We are actually winning 5/6 categories, except those are the ones you do not want to win. When was the last era or time the AB's made so few metres and line breaks. This clearly shows Razor simply does not want to have the ball and its kick away at all costs. I never thought I would see the day that the ABs were scared to attack and had no penetration.
