As you know with Ihaia West, if your only good at attacking then it can only get you so far

McClutchie has looked good but there’s a big difference to their games. Falcon is more physical and kicking game 10 and McClutchie is a distributor. Which is why Falcon can play 12 and 15 also.
McClutchie has done very well setting the backline away but have to agree that we have been getting better go forward. McClutchie probably weakens the team by having only 14 players to defend with, as his 50% tackle percentage shows, with him only making 2 tackles a game.
Has helped McClutchie by only having to concentrate on his role and not having the kicking duties
I would start McClutchie and have Falcon on the bench, then he can get us field possession and control the game in the final minutes

That sounds about right. I think they will give Lowe a rest and also Stacey Ili who have played every single minute so far. Sebastian Visinia? Ellery Wilson?
Heard Falcon is out for rest of the season after getting scans, they thought it was going to be 2/4 weeks but apparently 6/8 weeks.

I think the big thing we are seeing with the magpies is that they are getting quicker ball at ruck time. Looking at the stats compared to other games the quick ball stats have been much better therefore McC has more time and front foot ball.
This comes from the carries of Marino and also less turnovers by holding the ball then taking an extra phase

They put Stacey Ili into 10 when Falcon goes off. Dunn is only a midfielder. They could look to put Lincoln into the starting spot or move Stacey into 10

Philpott went for the local team and we have only won 4 games in 2 years. If it gets results, that’s better than no results

I heard that the arrivals weren’t confirmed a contract, they had to prove they were better than the players in Hawkes bay. I think that is fair if they prove their worth

Crazy thinking a team like clive who only got into the top 4 because central lost in the last round, ended up winning the competition convincingly

Hbmagpies Instagram page put a story up about Jonah Lowe and Tiaan Falcon playing for clive this weekend in the final. I doubt that would be a possibility ?

Assume Will Tremain is signed as the reason why he is back in Hawkes bay and not playing in Wellington as he was last year. I think Selesele signed a 3 year contract when he arrived so this would be his third year
