Im concerned at how little I care anymore.....
This team used to be my life, on season and off season.
im not sure if its my age, or the general malaise of the jersey but Im really disconnected.
I used to buy every shirt, trackie top, plan annual leave around games etc....
Now ill sleep through a game if its on at an unsuitable time.
Maybe I climbed my Everest in 2011 and 2015 (in my 30's) and now as a 41 year old fan I am in a zen denial or acceptance phase.

Lowe and Aki could have just as easily been capped for England or Scotland or France if the money was right.
That doesn’t sit well.
It’s not a moved to x country as a teenager, or family moved for work, or granny is from there situation.
They cherry picked their new allegiance based on cash and assurances of being capped.
That’s not what international rugby is about for me.
The Lions squad was a bit of a farce this year.

When did NZ Rugby (at a Macro level) get so conservative?
