@MN5 In fairness to Tuipulotu he is of Scottish blood and has a Scots grandmother in the stands watching him play...I don't mind that.
Its the come over for 3 years playing pro rugby then play international while you are living here that doesn't sit well.
Ireland have done it for years like Scotland- Japan -
I hope Evans is sure of what the job description is .... I could see him wanting to make changes and getting push back from the current coaches, may not be a fun time for him much like MacDonald and Holland.
Hopefully not and I'm just being pessimistic -
@Dan54 For a rant it makes sense.. coaches at junior level love the complexities of lineouts etc and ignore the basics or take it for granted. Teach catching -passing -running into space heads up rugby, tackling tech.
Learn this first and the rest will follow -
If we showed signs and direction that the leadership group are making progress to thisdark period i would back them.. at the moment it looks like the darks aren't over...infact the dark days are here to stay.
We will lose players as they lose faith. -
I don't give a shite which other nation a bloke has coached if he is qualified and best candidate he gets the gig.
Dave Rennie hell yeah - I see him as a guy to build the legacy back
Vern Cotter potentially as his forwards coach
Joe Schmitt in a Wayne Smith type role ( or as Razor sees himself without taking the head coach cap).
JJ could also take one of those roles... the biggest thing is they jell and work together which seems to be lacking in the current set up -
lots of love for Pledger on here but the young fella hasn't had a super season yet!
If he has an amazing season outplaying 9 after 9 then yes promote him asap but until then he is surely in the queue behind Favatava, Holtham and Preston as more established experienced 9's.
If he is rushed and thrown to the Boks and doesn't perform will the same people then want him ditched??
JJ did him a favour not taking him the XV tour no need to panic let him develop physically and learn about pressure etc - there are other 9's that deserve their shot ahead off him at this point in time.
Injuries aside he will get there. -

McKenzie such a clear upgrade, not perfect (apart from the goalkicking), but ball moved rapidly to space and all of a sudden our wingers are scoring tries. Contestable kicks were better. Long kicks were better. And most of that with Ratima really struggling with kicking and delivery, and not running once that I recall - vs Barrett having Roigard. As fucking expected for fuck's sake Raygun you dullard.
Samisoni very good, both around the field and 100% in the lineout. More suited to start than come off the bench.
Holland, what a great season.
Sititi very good, while Kirifi and Parker were pretty anonymous - and finally, finally we've seen one of our loosies wind up.
Ioane a couple of uncharacteristic really poor bits of defence in conjunction with Jordan, otherwise good. ALB good too. LF continues to look dangerous and have terrible ball security.
Clarke excellent on attack, got done by the excellent LRZ a couple of times though.
Love rocks and diamonds, which is fine for a young guy who has hardly played. Showed that he deserves more opportunities, and looked genuinely angry after scoring, which you'd have to assume is a reaction to the non-selection. Then gets dragged after 50... probably not match fit I suppose...Game was always likely to be a bit of a mess, with the lack of combinations, guys who hadn't played much, the tendency to overplay when finally give a chance, and the knowledge that the coach neither trusts you or thinks that this game is any sort of a challenge.
Some excellent cleans by Parker, something that you could seldom say about an AB loosie recently.
I think he's worth perservering with for now tbh. I noticed some of his work around the ruck today. Probably needs to work on his work with ball in hand next season. We've seen in at SR in the wider channels, haven't seen it just yet at Test level.
Yeah at super he did damage there so have to think he is playing under instructions to stay tight and let Ardie have the wide role...

I would have really liked to have seen Love get a run at 10. What are they afraid of?
Thats RM jersey and BB is keepng it mediocre until he is available= no point anyone being allowed the opportunity to shine and make the changeover more complex
-
27,,, i still think we could salvage it with we have the kahunas to make the necessary changes asap
-
Wallace if just for the intentful hit ups were great to watch
Dmac brilliant place kicking and just way way better than what BB serves up -

I wonder if it’s time to look at foreign coaches. TBH both Rennie and Joseph underwhelm me a little, and who else from NZ currently coaching is up to that standard? (Schmidt did well initially with Aus, but they haven’t exactly been going gangbusters recently either)
I don't think Schmitt would be keen he has done well with Oz but they do have a depth issue that makes consistent big performances tricky.
Rennie and Joseph sounds good to me but that is without knowing how they jell together.
I also think Cotter would be great for the forwards but him and JJ may be a Hart and Wyllie combo...
Whoever they go for need to be on same page unlike what it looks like now- many different coaches coaching their own systems over complicating and bamboozling the players -

Once Ratima decided not to kick and instead pass the pill, the All Blacks played better. His kicks were awful and put the ABs under pressure. Overall, not a bad game from the starting backs from 10 to 15.
Ratimas box kicks were shite for any level - just should be better, I think he could be way better and has been way better- looks confused and lacking confidence and that most likely stems from the coaches

A good performance according to Jeff Wilson and Mils.
One amateur era player and the guy who got replaced by Dagg cause he can't catch a high ball? Lucky we have those two rugby geniuses on our TVs
Some serious revisionist bullshit going on here. Mils was gobbling Up the highball in 2010. He was injured for most of 2011 and Dagg’s attacking play was irresistible.
Absolutely.
Goldie and Mils were both sensational players. Insult their punditry all you want but never forget how they went in the Black jersey.
I'm actually genuinely offended on their behalf.
So true watched Wilson play live and was amazing how fast and athletic he was,,, its a common theme with players who turn commentators people either forget or are too young to appreciate just how good they were. Both Wilson and MIls have good games and bad when commentating,,, remember the hate Mex got and Stu

Ruben Love did well enough at Fullback. I hope he gets more outings there.
Nice injections into the line on attack, but Jordan would be eviscerated for the charged down kick and shelling of a few catches.
Think Love is getting "new guy" leeway.
I thought he was taken off too early did the selectors really need to see more of Sevu?
Love is fresh could have stayed on... hate pre planned subs -

@kidcalder I'm looking forward to seeing Dylan Pledger in Black next year.
Interested in how he goes in super level
-
Favatava is the ideal bench 9
-
@Darren yip weird decision. Pre-planned no vision
-
First time John Fury has made sense
-
Proctor has had his chances.. it hasn't worked out. Ioane is the best we have to play 13 currently- plenty of 12's but cupboard is bare of international standard 13's.
