I'm back, thanks to a Saffa poster on Planet Rugby and a few goes at remembering a nearly two decades old password.
Wait.... you hadn't been logged out in two decades?
I guess I must have been at some stage, but it would have been closer to the time back then so I would have remembered my password. When I update my laptop I just transfer everything across including all my saved passwords on my browsers so I haven't needed to remember it for a while now.
Look into Proton Pass, it's a password manager that's free and you can have it on your phone and laptop. Too many passwords these days to keep track.
Yet another case of IT security policies being counter-productive.
Does my fucking head in.
Enforced password rotation - meaning everybody needs to write their passwords for everything down somewhere, or in a password-manager.
Not to mention enforced installation of shit like Crowdstrike/Tanium/McAfee/Nessus/etc - requiring opened ports... ie: fucking Security-HOLES. Incompetent fluffybunnies. I met one competent person in that branch of IT yesterday... was fucking surprised. Discovered soon thereafter that he got into it by mistake and has been trying to leave ever since.
Fuck Security/Compliance. Made-up CVSS dates. Incompetent. Ignorant. Fluffybunnies.
Apologies - been handed the "Security Remediation" role at work recently, and detest the entire thing.Old post but had to respond. Just today I literally had to print out some work passwords because they are a) in the process of removing all browser saving passwords and all non-approved password managers and b) the approved password manager doesn't fucken work. I'm about to go on extended paternity leave I can only imagine the nightmare I could be coming back to. Back to literal pen and paper. I'll try not to blu-tak it to my work monitor.

@Duluth oh nice didn't realise. Makes for a very interesting card.
-
Caught up on this finally. Nothing to add except disappointed for Rob, I thought he edged it. Blew himself out going for that finish, great recovery by RDR on that. Oh and that Magomedov/Barriault fidht was awesome.
-
Good time to jump on fightpass for anyone not on it. $40 AUD for 6 months. Abu Dhabi and Noche aren't PPV so will be good lineups available live on fightpass.
-
So many good fights coming up. This weekends card not shabby at all. Still gotta get JDM v Islam booked somewhere. Looks like Ulberg has a bit of a wait on his hands before title shot. I wonder if there is a story behind that, seems odd Rountree gets the #1 contender fight first.

@MiketheSnow Turned out to be a really great card, prelims awesome throughout too.
How about this dude, freakin monster -
-
Best post-fight call out too

@Kirwan The Sycophancy chapter is fascinating. AI with morals.

@grok explain this to me like as though I'm an 8 year old
*Okay! Imagine you have a big toy puzzle that’s super tricky, and it’s called ARC-AGI-2. This puzzle is special because it’s designed to test how smart something is at figuring out new things, kind of like how you learn to solve a new game without anyone telling you all the rules first. Grown-ups use it to see how smart their robot helpers, like AI (which is like a super smart computer brain), can be.
Now, there’s a robot brain called Grok 4, made by a team called xAI. It’s like the smartest kid in class who just figured out how to solve 15.9% of that tricky puzzle! That’s a big deal because the other robot brains could only solve about half that much before. It’s like going from solving 8 pieces to solving 15 pieces of a 100-piece puzzle!
The people at ARC Prize, who made the puzzle, checked Grok 4’s work and said, “Wow, you’re really good!” They even showed it on a big chart (like a scoreboard) to prove it. This makes Grok 4 the new champion, and it’s exciting because it means robots are getting better at thinking like us.
But here’s a little grown-up stuff: some people are worried because making Grok 4 super smart used a lot of energy, and that’s not always good for the planet. It’s like using extra batteries that might hurt the Earth. So, while it’s cool that Grok 4 is so smart, grown-ups are also thinking about how to keep things safe and happy for everyone!*

@taniwharugby I loved that the guy did his own sound effects. Not seen that since the original Batman tv series
-
@Kiwiwomble listened to the audiobook earlier in the year. Fantastic story, 2 hours does seem kinda rushed
-
If Islam beats JDM and Tuporia beats Paddy/Armin...then the UFC should really get Jone's 30mill+ and get that superfight organised
-
@Duluth Nice one. Yeah Kai's fight was a hard watch. Appeared to be nowhere near Pantoja's level. Made worse after that absolute banger fight preceding it.
Tuporia is phenomanol. Surely the boos have got to stop now. Yeah he has put out eveyones favourite fighter/s but you gotta appreciate just how good he is.
-
To be fair I havent seen Royvale, Lima or Dariush fight so those are just guesses. Basing Kai's fight on the sole fight of his I saw (vs Erceg) seen a couple Pantoja's. Will be very interesting if Kai's power threatens his chin because he will get hit. Hoping Pantoja is in for a big surprise.
