One thing that also bugged me..and surely it's been mentioned is what happened to our must win attitude? That penalty with what was in 10 mins to go to bring the gap to 7, I saw going for that kick as an admission that we were happy settling for a draw. It should have been smashed to the corner and had everything thrown at the try line, sure we may have blown it and lost by 10 overall but at least we we'd have the right attitude and wouldn't die wondering.

The worst part of that night in Cardiff was depressingly getting back to my accommodation only to discover my lucky All Blacks boxers were on inside-out. Sorry team.

Well I also blame Laurel. She knows she has a massive unfair advantage and is cheating other girls out of their hard earned dreams. The gentlemanly (sue me) thing to do would be not compete and maybe go into coaching or something.

Maybe a blessing in disguise after the head knock shenanigans and gives some of these other guys some valuable gametime at both AB and super level. Hopefully come back strong in prep for 2019 and if not we should have some well prepared deputies to fill in.

@Jaguares4real Due to the ABs dominance over the last few years you'd struggle to find a kiwi who'd ever not take a loss to heart. Boks and England have had some awful losing streaks so they have had to adjust to that reality, for the most part we haven't. It is ridiculously high standards for sure, calling a game a 'friendly' undermines how seriously we take each match even if other teams don't see it that way. That unfriendly ethos could very well be a driver of our success where other teams seem happy for the odd win, a draw, a moral victory or maybe just winning a half.

We're not going to drop that standard and it's just too bad for the opposition if they priouette into a game against us with a loser attitude.

I've managed to snake Monday morning off work, just need to log a few hours this weekend. Considering they have won every game I've watched this tournament I think we can safely say this is in the bag.

Just a small shout-out to technology. I'm in an airplane somewhere over the Ta$man sea and I'm able to watch this live via kayo and a vpn. Bloody outstanding times that we live in right now.

So Ketoish diet update... Well that was fun while it lasted!

I got to 4 weeks in before I had a trip away for a wedding with family where it became far too much of an issue for meals to continue with, so I had 3 days off enjoying normal food. I did however keep relatively strict on my drinking avoiding beer and instead sticking to whiskey on the rocks or dry white wine. Managed to run another 10K with ease during these days off too.

The night before the wedding I went to try on my suit in order to work out which shirt would be better...well it felt a little loose so I asked my siblings their thoughts. Ah the beauty of family they have no interest in protecting peoples feelings, the verdict the suit is far too big for me and I have literally no ass in it (Clue 1)...interesting, oh well mad dash to the clothing store the next day to get some new trousers...hmmm down to a 30" waist that's weird haven't worn that size in a long time (Clue 2) , maybe Target's clothing size is differently sized.

Anyway to work this week so back on the diet, learned some new recipe ideas in the last couple weeks which makes this diet even easier such as zucchini noodles, cauliflower rice and even how to make a keto bread substitute. A colleague at work commented that I'd looked like I'd lost weight, another collegue who had been away for a month said I looked really withdrawn (Clue 3). I didn't think much of it. Did a 5km run this week plus 2 hour long weight sessions, out of interest I installed that 'My Fitness Pal' to see exactly how much carbs etc I have been eating..interestingly enough I got a warning alert that my calories were far too low (Clue 4), ha funny, that's probably because it had pulled my previous data 6 years back when I was trying to bulk up after marathon training.

Anyway cue this morning, casual Friday at work. I go to put on my new jeans only purchased a couple months back ..huh need to go in a few belt notches..and the legs are kind of loose, these used to fit me well (Clue 5)

Yeah I'm done. I didn't do this to lose any more than a bit of a holiday belly. My actual weight has only dropped maybe 2-3 kgs max and I've still got a little left to lose on the belly..but I hadn't planned on losing any bulk on my legs or torso as well they didn't exactly have any fat on them.

Still I have learnt a lot.

1. I now know how to lose excess weight in a short period of time.
2. I have some terrific meal alternatives which I can mix in with my normal eating to balance out the odd poor-eating days.
3. I can massively improve concentration levels if I cut out carbs from my work-day lunches
4. I don't need carbs to train
5. Fats are not the enemy when trying to lose weight

Now the goal is to try and pack on some bulk again so my damn clothes fit!

Clearly you avoid the politics forum. Problems with this current transgenderism movement is a common theme, wait until you read about parents deciding their 3yo kid is old enough to identify as the other sex and then start planning towards a sex change, child abuse to the applause of the progressive social justice movement.

Things are getting to beyond ridiculous levels, biology professors are regarded as transphobes if they teach basic biology. Calling a transgender person by the wrong pro-noun is now outlawed in Canada (and there are some 50+ different pronouns now including zhe, eir pixie and more created everyday) . Males who identify as females can now go to female prisons..and rape female inmates. Boys who identify as girls can now shower with girls at the girl scouts.

I know people hate politics but unless people start taking notice and make a collective stand against this garbage the next generation is in for a world of trouble.

Thoroughly enjoyed the game, Ireland the deserved victors but there were just fingertips in it for blown tries on our side. Ireland was always going to grow an extra arm in the last 10 mins at home if they were ahead with I'm sure 2013 still very fresh on some minds. I'm not as worried as many on here, we could have easily taken it and Ireland right now are a superb outfit playing at home. I don't think Barrett was anywhere near as bad as some are saying but do agree that he is lacking that support from a crash ball exponent at 12, be that sbw, laumape or nonu. I'm being continuing impressed with Goodhue's performances, just so solid for a young bloke, long ab career ahead I'm sure.
