Young will also be covering as an opener, which Nicholls isn't.
Nicholls has opened in tests so that is not a issue.
Not according to cricinfo. He has batted from 3 to 6. The majority of Young's test innings are as an opener.
He has opened I was at a test he opened the batting due to an injury and Made runs, cricinfo also has wrong stats on players not a site to trust it is not accurate.
Should be pretty easy for you to work out the test then.

Yeah, quality clickbait for that part of the headline.

Shields is doing his best Coldplay impersonation out there with the bat.
Coldplay could probably jump on the East by west to throw down some overs when we need him.
Bit further for him to go now. He's stepped 'up' to being the owner-operator of New World Taumarunui. I assume he's moved there too.
And Wood is all done and dusted courtesy of a knee injury after lasting one test. Probably about as good as England could have hoped out of him, considering his track record.
Sparky, speaking of uniformly, you uniformly spam threads with live scoring updates which render threads like this utterly unreadable and boring. Cricinto has been around for 30 fucking years and does a much better job than you of live scoring.
Comment on the game and offer up your opinion. Certainly more latitude for your score updates in threads for rugby, IMO, but stop stating the bleeding obvious such as with the original post in question.

All over. Finished with a six.
Australia 2 England 0
Three to play.
Cheers for that. Hadn't been able to work out the series score at all!!

Yeah, 87 was an invitation tournment.
But the NZRFU were the ones pushing hard for a World Rugby Cup.
Partly as a replacement for SA, as they were in the bad boys corner at the time.
Hard to believe now, but no other countries were really interested in staging a world championship at that time.
Amateurs see, World Cups, that was soccer shite.
Probably only happened because NZ made it happen.
Incorrect.
(The above was not a serious request)
For those of us who may not be able to view the YouTube stream later tonight for whatever reason, would someone be able to live-post the draw?
@sparky said in Still talking about Foster:
@nzzp Although SJK was a level above Ian Foster as a player. He really carved it up for the All Blacks and Auckland on the right wing in the late 80s/early 90s.
Goodness me. I'll have to track down some highlights. Sounds like he was quite the player.

Mark Robinson standing behind a wheelie bin as he presents the WR breakthrough trophy to Fabian Holland seems like an apt metaphor for his time as CEO.

A little bit stoked today. Had a winner at Ascot Park (my 68th as an owner, I think, but who's counting?) but what was cool is the fact about two years ago, one of my workmates said "you have a bit of luck as an owner - get me into the next one you buy into". This one came up at the sales in February 2024, a racing mate of mine bought it then offered me a share, I pulled in this workmate and another colleague of ours and we took 5% between the 3 of us (me 2.5% and the other two took 1.25%).
The horse (a pacer) qualified earlier this year behind a filly that went on to win group races, our guy came back in this spring, won three workouts, came to the races today for the first time and won by 2 and a half lengths, barely raising a sweat in the process.
We've already had some interest from agents and now he's won so easily, the price has probably gone up...
If only all horse ownership was this easy.
Won its second race and we've sold it for eight times what we paid for it. Make it rain.

Thanks to @Hooroo for the Well Written futures tip for the 1000 Guineas before it had its first start and was paying $61. It's now $2.80...
Now $1.80 for tomorrow's feature.
Looking a fairly even Cup this year. Early indications suggest it's going to be a solid day, and it feels like it's getting its mojo back a little. Must be if it attracted @mariner4life all the way from Cairns...

Paid $1.80. Not worth your time, BI!
I also do not recall inviting you.
Think I've invited you to take shares in at least a couple of these pacers/trotters in the past few years!
