Proctor has very much been a mixed bag.
Kirifi was picked on his ability to win turnovers and his good discipline. He hasn't won a single turnover so far and gave away 3 penalties in 20 minutes yesterday.
Yep, I heard the statement from coach, just saying I hate it.
I’d personally agree on Proctor, but I’d add that the consensus seems to be a decent T2 improvement on a fairly forgettable T1 - so why not give him another go to see if he can build on it? We know what ALB and Rieko offer there, let’s carry on with creating depth.

I'm pretty neutral on what happens with Proctor at the moment but it would seem that Proctor was a big part of their plan. The backline hasn't been great though and we got out to an early lead yesterday by keeping it tight.
I've always suspected that Kirifi would not go well with refs who are not Kiwis or Aussies. I doubt the coaches will appreciate the ongoing dialogue he was having with the ref
And maybe International sides are just better at protecting the ball than domestic sides?
There was an intresting exchange with the ref where he admitted he got one of those calls wrong.

What way? I felt if anything, the French were unlucky a couple of times.

Its was the last penalty, where i can only assume the ref pinged him for no clear release. (Not that we see that reffed much anymore at any level) Ref's words were something like 'crowding him too much' which is not exactly the most clearest call.

We know what Ardie brings but the other two will just get rag dolled by bigger teams. They honestly looked like halfbacks out there. Savea is still such an X factor player though. CLW is 2cm shorter than So’oialo and the same weight. Perhaps he should grow some dreds and wear shoulder pads in the off test match, might make him seem bigger.
This French side have big bodies. Their forwards are some of the biggest going around in world rugby. From my viewing, CLW had no problem dealing with bigger bodies on both sides of the ball. Was never driven back, stopped ball carriers in their track.
And I see a lot of Rodders in CLW. Grunt work to allow the other two loosies to play their roles - much like Rodders did for McCaw and Collins.
Overall though, I like that they have so far stuck to their plan when injuries have occurred in the lead up to both tests. Opted for the next cab than shuffle others that could play in that position.
If Luke is fit they will likely give him a run at 8, and I don’t think we will see much difference - both similar type of player.

He got driven backwards pretty early on or did I imagine that ?

CLWs listed height and weight are optimistic at best.
Any player selected for the All Blacks at home should be expected to do better than France B/C players.

Truth be told JB would probably do at least as well at 10 as Beauden and Mckenzie. With a bit of time in the saddle his kicking for field position could be a real weapon. Especially combined with a lineout including Holland, Tuipulotu/Darry, and Vaa'i.

Very few, if any, have mentioned our defence, so I assume people are happy with it? Me, I think it is still a weak point. When the French got into a position to score they either did or they came bloody close. It seemed inevitable that our line would be crossed. It reminded me of the Irish in NZ a few years ago.

Doesn't the first error/infringement take priority except in foul play? After he loses control of the ball forward its advantage All Blacks.
It was both the wrong call and the right call. Be thankful.
