Dubois has a hail mary chance only, if he doesn't land a KO punch Uysk schools him again and gets DD to take a knee as he will think he is surrounded .

Same as the first fight, Usyk schools him again.

    That’s the safe bet,

I’m expecting dubious to try and start fast , going forwards throwing power shots in bunches , he basically has to . He’s not going to win rounds so has to try and make it chaotic and uncomfortable for usyk . The problem is usyk makes you miss and counter punches beautifully

The longer the fight goes , the harder it gets for Dubois .

That's Dubois style too, come out of the blocks hard and fast, problem for him is, is that the longer the fight goes on, the harder it'll be for Dubois to keep up, similar to when he lost to Joyce a few years back. Once you get a feel of Dubois power, I feel he doesn't have another gear, where as Usyk seems to get faster as the fights go on.

If anyone is to beat usyk , I think it has to be someone who can achieve that , throw power shots in bunches and something connects , particularly upper cuts and body shots .

In a fantasy fight a prime mike Tyson would probably be his worst opponent to face .

I think we might be in for a few good entertaining rounds early before usyk assumes control .

So are we not talking SBW/Gallen?

    They don’t deserve it

I think DD is not going to go all out from the bell, he will be gagey thinking he will set Usyk up for a killer body shot that him and his team have convinced themselves they should have won from by KO in the last fight. It has some merit in that tagging Usyk clean to the head is way too taxing.
Uysk will then bank those early rounds and DD will become desperate and frustrated and the tank will run dry...=Uysk stoppage .
Parker has a better chance v Usyk than Dubois does but its still low %
If DD does connect and win I'm sure Usyk has a rematch clause so JP forced to wait another 6-9mths which is no good for him.. best case is whoever wins WBO strips them

    Agreed.

Parker has improved out of sight in the last few years ( I thought he was finished after Joe Joyce knocked him out but he made me eat my raw fish )

Comfortably my favourite New Zealand sportsman too.

I think Usyk is just that little bit classy ( for everyone to be fair, he is an ATG )

As for the SBW/Gallen fight I bet they're catching up for a beer ( or perhaps Orange juice in SBWs case ) and having a massive laugh about the whole thing.

A pair of great league players but jeepers we live in a strange world that they can earn that much as boxers.

Yeah Parker seems a great guy but if any of them could trouble Usyk I would have thought it would be Fury, who didn't, and Parker doesn't have Fury's tricks or reach.

Yes Parker has a low % chance of beating Usyk but I feel he has a better chance than DD.
The best chance of Usyk losing if he takes his eye off the ball ala Lennoxs 2 loses but Usyk doesn't seem wired that way

Great league player, Good Rugby player, hard to rank as a "boxer".

......and despite what the haters say I actually like him as a commentator/pundit !

I thought fury was the best chance of the current bunch to box with him but still was way off the mark . And I’ve probably changed that to kabayal now if he got an opportunity.

I’m of the opinion the only chance to beat him ( from the current lot ) is to stop him , in other words, throw caution to the wind a bit , yes it’s dangerous but you aren’t winning on points anyway if you don’t .

Moses itaumu is potentially the guy most capable but is still too young and by the time he reaches his peak , usyk will be finished.

Yeah no one is going to outbox Usyk. As you say, Fury was the best chance and he didn't manage it twice.

KO is the only option, slightly easier said than done though.

VERY hard to see Usyk any less than 100% focussed so the chances are slim to none. He's kind of this generations Lennox Lewis in that he's not super exciting but he's the absolute best by a long shot.

If there is any glimmer of hope for the younger fighters, at 38 he is not going to get better, and while he has shown no sign of decline , he is human , and sometimes fighters age almost overnight.

Yep great call. Any number of ATGs have had a loss or two or more in the twilight of their careers.

Not knowing him from a bar of soap one assumes he is savvy enough to avoid this scenario unlike so many in the past.

Usyk is human? The guy who speeds up the more the fight wears on?

I respectfully disagree. Parker doesn't have elite power, and would get busted up stalking him round the ring. He'd lose in a 12 round shut out, would go as far as to say that he wouldn't win a round

On Dubois, let's not forget in the first fight that he could easily have been given the victory in round 5 with that body shot/low blow. That was away from home. He's at home this weekend. If he lands that same shot, who knows, maybe he gets given the nod?

Other than that, he got schooled pretty badly, but he does have heavy hands and won't die wondering.

I love my boxing but refuse to pay for that , tried to find a stream but wasn’t having much luck and went to bed 😀

Sounds like a draw would have been a good result .

Oh fuck no, I wasn't paying for it. Plus it was on after lunch.

Only one clear round to SBW, reckon at least 2 were clear Gallen. The build up collating all the previous years/months was funny, although Gallen playing the old man card is a bit weird when he's only 2 years older.
