If we lost 2 more games this year do you think Razor gets sacked?

Chicago and both Bledisloes looking like banana skins not to mention Twickenham.

I don't disagree with this from our "old friend" Stephen Jones. It isn't easy to see what Scott Robertson is trying to achieve.

@Jet I'd add Murrayfield too. Great opportunity for the Scots to pop their cherry after 120 years of trying.

Has Razor lost the dressing room?

              Did he ever have it?

              It's a fair question.

He's lucky he has the media and public wrapped around his finger. He has a great PR team.

I always wanted to like the guy, and still want us to turn it around, be that with him or someone else, but was put off from the beginning with that cringe 3 part doco with Jim Kayes, along with the breakdancing and things I mentioned earlier.

Yep, all that cringe PR stuff on top of the fact he took on senior ABs who had come out in support of their previous coach over him. I'm not convinced he's ever had the full buy in from the players and the sooner we can move on the better now.

Foster had the changing room as he put the players first and foremost at cost to himself. That's from player comments in his book. Can't see why Robertson would be any different.

That said, there was serious bad blood from his appointment to succeed Foster and how that was handled inc. Robertson's involvement. Easy to see how that might spill over into the dressing room.

Makes Marshall's prediction of an unbeaten year look really silly now. I think we will win at Eden Park and definitely against Wales, but the other games are 50/50 at best.

You know we have no money eh. LIke, none compared to almost every other major union.

I think our strength came from a centralisation of player contracts, alignment with broad playing style, smart adminstrators and an NPC that was a conveyor belt for talent.

Now? Not so much. Centralisation is starting to hurt, playing style is out of date, our administrators are embarassing and the NPC has been gutted. Result: Super is a bigger step down from Tests and we are fielding players with deep flaws (y'know, like catching the high ball)

I'm gonna sound biased and salty here but fuck it, they really need to grow up and put thir little Canterbury v Auckland bias aside for the benefit of the national team. I know Cantabs hate Jafa's and they love to kick them when they're down and they live rent free in their heads and what not, but you can't just isolate players from a team altogether because of your personal hatred for the side. It's childish.

Carrying water for his former team-mate? What a surprise.

On the evidence of Sat night the Eden Park record is under threat in 2 weeks.

Yeah the Scotties will surely look at Ireland and Argentina as inspiration.

It’s pretty fucken embarrassing that they’ve not managed a single win in all that time.

We actually played some good footy last night. That first 40 when we played wide wide wide we got well behind them. That intercept was a massive moment because we had outflanked them again. Jordie Barrett is the key guy in that pattern his passing game is good. We also got our depth right. The problem was we just didn't get enough reward.

And in the 2nd half when we held the ball we still looked.good, we didn't do it enough, and then our set piece collapsed and we got stuck in the wrong end.

Lots of individual errors killed us. System errors killed us. But as I said in the match thread, I do not think this iteration of the ABs has this level of footy in them. We leak points. We are no longer able to strike and just break teams open.

We sort of look like Iteland, where the footy looks good, but there are never enough points to take the game away. Which when you look at the "against" column is a real issue.

My kingdom for a couple of real mean physical forwards. Even in the first half it was noticeable how the pack was completely unable to generate fast ball themselves, or stop south africa building momentum.

A very balanced take. I thought backs went well in first half and some good stuff also in third quarter.

Scrum in H1 was creaking on second shove, which I put down to Sami having an issue, but not too bad. Things evened up in second as Boks bench LH a big step down from Ox, and we had the nudge once McAllister came on, albeit at the cost of our lineout.

My gripe is that playing RD and Wally in same loosie trio is unbalanced in that they are samish. For me it’s one or other at 8. Need a tackling and cleaning 7 in the style of Sam Cane to even things up.

Why replace a specialist 13 with a 12 with little international experience at 13? And if you’re going to do it, not 5m from own goal line, FFS!

Would people take John Mitchell back as head coach

                                Funny as!

But you'd be right; he'd be a much better coach now than he was back then.

Lots and lots and lots of learnings.

                                Not learnings, journeys....

Heard him talkin about legacy, England and winning the women's RWC25. Still sounded full of shit

A journey? Travelling by train or plane?

Sadly I fear the All Blacks getting thrashed two or three times a year is going to be the new normal.

Standards have slipped and those who have the power to raise them again, aren't doing so.

The what amounted to giving up in the last 15 minutes is shocking Abs teams just don't do that, to quit the contest like that shows a real lack of care and commitment. And they did opt out some players just did not commit on the tackle at all.
I agree with Kieran Read something is not right within the group players and coaching to let that happen, no spine as Read said.
Some players need to go if that is what they want to dish up.
The Coaching well it looks totally in disarray with no clear path out of this mess.
The All Blacks are no longer what they were and I do not think its coming back damage maybe done.

@Jet I'd add Murrayfield too. Great opportunity for the Scots to pop their cherry after 120 years of trying.

Makes Marshall's prediction of an unbeaten year look really silly now. I think we will win at Eden Park and definitely against Wales, but the other games are 50/50 at best.

Carrying water for his former team-mate? What a surprise.

On the evidence of Sat night the Eden Park record is under threat in 2 weeks.

I think we might fare ok against Australia, at least at Eden Park anyway. They are still pretty passive on D so we will have a lot more space to work with, and you would expect our scrum to hold up against theirs. Will probably have Roigard and Ratima back for that game too. It will just paper over the cracks though, we have some serious problems.
