I saw a bit of Inch playing in his school days.
Didn't have him pegged as a league player.
But, the money they are paying for half-backs and 5/8ths in the NRL at the mo.
    Definitely worth a shot.

Plus people tend to make a bigger deal out of it if they choose the Warriors. Tevita Naufahu went to the Dolphin’s nobody cared

He was one of two from the 2023 NZS backline that went to RL. Caelys-Paul Putoko signed with the Titans but looks to be with the Warriors now.

How is Francis Manuleleua going at Penrith? He wasn't selected for the NZS team as a Y13 because of his intention to play RL.

Who knew that Nelson College was such a RL nursery.

Perkins was in the NZS squad this year.

Blame it all on Simon Mannering.

FFS @Chris-B, what's going on? Ta$man is fucking broken. A couple of years back you let Taumoefolau go to Tonga and now every decent young player in the franchise (yeah I said it, you're a franchise) is going to league. Is this what happens when you spend up on out of towners and Cantabs for the benefit of the Crusaders?

Is there even a league comp in Ta$man?

Was surprised at the number of Nelson College players who made it, considering their very poor season. Good for him of course, this will be the norm I suspect.

We tried to keep Harry, but he decided he wanted a bigger yacht than Will Jordan!

A case of an Inch taking a mile!

You do know money thing is total bullshit perpetuated by morons, right? 🙂

Not sure how he's going to get that playing Jersey Flegg. Or does he just think that league is so easy any Ta$man-ian can become Simon Mannering?

    @Nepia

Simon Mannering smashed the glass for rugby league at Nelson College.

I think Inch could play 6 or 7 in league.
Those positions are very well remunerated in the NRL.
And not just that; if you cut it, you can have a very long career (Reynolds/Foran/DCL)
By 28 there will be 38 of those positions needing to be filled.

And if it doesn’t work out, he can switch back to rugby union.

If you are talking about Ta$man, you are right.

This is the rank of PU’s by annual revenue for 2024.
All the numbers should be on the public record; but I haven’t been able to find them all.
A lot of PUs just highlight whether they are in the black or not.
But got enough to figure out the basic order.

    dd783fbb-fd90-4dc4-a5d4-b4ddfdee31ae-image.png

    Educated guestimates.
    1 and 2 are over $10 mil.
    3, 4 and 5 are over $5 mil.
    6 to 11; between $4 mil and $5 mil.
    12, 13 and 14; just under $4 mil.

Tazman seem to get excellent value for their connection to the Crusaders franchise.

And just for the record, the Heartland PUs.

    e340b218-ee11-4e21-bcad-6af569a8b48d-image.png

Those above the line, would be over a $1 mil (but less than $2 mil).
Those below the line; less than $1 mil.

    @mohikamo I know I'm right.

The data all used to be presented in those State of the Union reports.

There were just a bunch of sorry-arse idiots on here who decided to troll me after Ta$man won the title in 2019!

It's why there's still a $ sign in Ta$man when you type it.
