We're becoming a decent supplier for European clubs.

Has been that way for some time. The worst part right now is we are letting players go that could actually help us get better, IMHO....

Northland lock Sam Caird has signed with Yokohama Cannon Eagles in Japan linking up former Blues head coach and ABs assistant Leon McDonald
Caird will return to Northland for next years Npc -

@Bovidae Not the only one theres a current super rugby prop who will be heading to the Newscastle Red Bulls club post next years super comp
According to my source ,this prop has english herritage via his grand parents -
Not confirmed but...
All the best to him.

It goes without saying that Scott Robertson's treatment of Hoskins Sotutu has been appalling, overlooked by the ABs for two years for lesser and less experienced players. His departure from New Zealand Rugby was easily avoidable if the All Blacks Head Coach had been more diligent and thorough and exercised better judgement.
But NZ Rugby is going to be counting the cost of Robertson's staggering laziness and lack of attention to detail for a long time.

Feels like it's getting much worse though. And the NRL raiding Union pathways here is at an all-time high.
Seeing both Hoskins and Lam leave really sucks.

What an absolute fucking disgrace not to pick him in 2024. The best player in the country that season. There's not a single loose forward who deserved selection more, he outplayed all of them except Blackadder who was injured all year and Savea who was swanning around in Japan and came back mediocre.

@sparky 100% on your coms especially when we have seen the likes of Samipeni Finau given countless opportunites , i know he plays a different position but it does bring into question what pictures forward mystro Jason Ryan is looking at
-
Countless? He's played 12 tests in 3 seasons. Started 6 of those.
And in one he got knocked out very earlySotutu has 14 appearances.

If Ryan had a major hand in blocking Sotutu he can fuck off with the rest of them. At a time we are lamenting a lack of size and ability to go forward, we let this guy go, and still in his prime. Good luck to him, he re-signed in the hope of playing for the ABs, now he has resigned himself to playing in white instead

Of course Ryan did, he picks the pack. He would have coached him in 2022 and obviously decided there and then that it didn't matter what Sotutu did after that season, he was never getting another go.
