@Chris you would think so but must admit I'm not sure anymore

George if you put everything together that has been posted on this page and put it all together you would be confused,But when you really look at it all you can see a lot is just not true.
I think you may find these players who will not play for the ABs again is not by their choice, I believe a clean out of players is going to happen.

This is cruel if it turns out not be true.

I just broke all my fingers crossing them so hard.

@Kirwan if it turns out that is true or not obviously seriously toxic in my view and can't go on.

assuming its true....really just for the purposes of a chat

im conflicted.....i didn't want them to drag things out like they did with fozzie...but also....getting rid of razor and keeping all the players that have been there through these poor performances and possibly seeding the toxic environment is also not good

Yeah I feel the same way if coaches go players should go as well.
Start again, tough gig for someone to take over probably the toughest test schedule this year than for many years.
A new coach has a couple of weeks after SR to take on that tour to SA.
After this year a new coach might be under massive pressure also.
Even accounting for some leeway due to taking over at short notice.

    these "leaks" make no sense

The guy that, from the outside anyway, looks to be at the heart of our struggles when we have the ball, is not only locked in the jersey, he's actively running the team?
A guy who plays every minute of every test with what appears no accountability for any of the weaknesses in his game won't play for them any more?

    I am many confused.

Maybe leaking weird things to see how fast they make it onto the Fern as a bit of sport…

If they win, and play well, we'll know what the problem was.

But I think it's clear that there is a good 20% surfing in on the back of the provincial cabal currently in charge.

I also wonder how anyone is even coming up with all the stories? Someone sitting back and having a laugh.
We got so far, BB is running the trainings, Ardie and 4 are walking away from team, Razor is walking away from team, Ardie etc are actually all getting dropped.
And then they drop all the players if the coaching group changes? It's getting fun to actually see what's next.

    if it was me?
The skipper moves to a squaddie spot
I am looking at 3 new starting loose forwards, Ardie to the bench.
BB to the paddock, DMac promoted and the most promising young 10 to the bench.
I am looking very hard at both midfield spots, definitely a new (or even returned) centre.
A new fullback, Jordan back to a wing.

It's of huge interest as I've alluded to in previous posts because NZR do not have any good options right now. They absolutely need more international experience in this coaching group, but they don't have any suitable candidates that will work under Razor. I have suspected that they might just go the simplest route and ditch Razor and his team, and build a new team around JJ which may include some coaches joining the fray a bit down the track once their current contacts are up etc.

What all of these rumors point to is that there has been nobody really in charge of the ABs since Razor took over. You just can't imagine any of this type of shit happening under Henry's watch.

Just like his playing days, Razor has been found out a test level.

    agreed

other teams are trying to make their benches weapons to change the game in the final quarter......our is just the second best player in a position....even if its a pure like for like swap...i mix of someone like savea with the next generation could be lethal

The ABs are sort of like any other pro sports franchise now.
Easier to sack the coach, than to sack the players.
Sacking the players is even more difficult in the ABs case than in a "normal" sports franchise because of the national qualfication required in all the players contracts.
    The players have power.
Not possible to do a Wayne Shelford these days.

Well they wouldn’t be sacked by NZR as they would have their SR and Npc contracts just not AB contracts it is not being sacked just not selected like every other AB who has lost his AB spot.

and thats where my concern comes in, are the coaches been told they cant have a new player if they already have a couple of guys in a position signed......the old "we have food at home" argument

Yes and we are completely in big trouble if that is the case.many coaches would not want that stipulation in their job description.
    Completely hamstrung as a coach.
