@xman not sure if JJ is in the mix yet .

Would love to see Cotter involved, he would help keep some of the more senior players on a shorter leash I think

Like whom? The absolute absence of details doesn't embue me with confidence. On the contrary it reads like someone just putting rambling thoughts to paper.

@antipodean just saying what I've been told by different people.
Leon McDonald's has been mentioned along with Tony Brown and Barnes.
How it plays out not sure.

Brown would be awesome McDonald a firm no from me he would add nothing he really hasn’t achieved anything as a coach.
Both have contracts longer than 1 year in other countries they could be hard gets.
Barnes sorry ? not sure who we are talking about.unless It is Neil Barnes that would a stretch another coach with not a lot of success not even a head coach at SR level.

Stuart popped into my head... which then made me think maybe it's no coincidence the walrus quit his newspaper this week. He's moving into coaching...

Neil Barnes maybe the Taranaki coach has not been a HC at SR level as yet.

If Robertson is sacked, the pressure on the next coach will be enormous to get better results. If the next coach loses the South Africa tour, loses the Bledisloe, loses the Eden Park streak, then what does NZR do? Don’t just assume Jamie Joseph will be the saviour of the All Blacks. Coaching Japan where you’re not expected to win, versus coaching the All Blacks where you’re expected to win every game is different level of pressure.

disagree, Razor has done the next coach a massive favour.

Once it turned out surf jesus wasn't the messiah, the general narrative changed to we don't have the cattle, and other teams have got so much better. Whoever gets the gig next has his excuses written for him.

Hahaha I would really like to see a Jones / Barnes coaching team for the ABs would be epic.

I've literally just opened my emails and thankfully it's not true.

Robertson's looked out of his depth and confused on tactics and strategy. Clearly standards in the camp have slipped too.

I wouldn't be disappointed at all if he's gone and Jamie Joseph is the new boss.

Family who live in the Sumner have heard the same rumours about Ardie.

They’ve also told me they haven’t seen Razor in Sumner at all, usually frequents the same cafe. May mean absolutely nothing of course.

Sheesh, this thread has gone wild.
